Hollywood actress Brittany Murphy has died suddenly in Los Angeles aged just 32.

The 8 Mile and Clueless star was pronounced dead at 10am on Sunday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre.

She was taken to hospital after the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call at 8am at the home she shared with her husband, British screenwriter Simon Monjack, in the Hollywood Hills.

Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter said Murphy apparently collapsed in the bathroom, and authorities are looking into her medical history.

An official cause of death may not be determined for some time, since toxicology tests will be required, but "it appears to be natural," Mr Winter said. An autopsy is planned for Monday or Tuesday.

Seeing her on TV last night, I just wonder if she has been dieting too much, as she looked so thin.

This is very sad,

According to the paper today she had an addiction to Prescription drugs , ( but you can`t always belive everything they print!!)..... can`t say I v`e seen any of her films, but a tragic loss of a young life.....

yes teddys girl, in the picture in the paper today she looks very thin.....

.this has echoes of Karen Carpenter, who died in 1983 at a very similar age, if not the same age, of heart failure, and was also very thin,
