Festive but not good for those who have to travel. We have to get to Milton Keynes on Thursday, I am dreading that the weather will be too bad to travel, we have all the family's presents.

I agree Ann, not so good for travelling. I think the main roads are ok in those parts though. We are also visiting family in Bucks on Xmas Day.

The rain in central London has turned to sleet and now almost to snow.

Those of us with longer journeys have just been let off early.

The met office have said warning of snow for Gloucestershire overnight. we often don't get it here in the severn Valley but our problem is that we have to travel out of Gloucester via the A40 over the Cotswolds which is a high up road and which usually gets any snow going. I guess we have to wait and see.

Not a good journey: two hours twenty mintes instead of an hour and a half.

The worst bit was in Chelmsford, the north side is jammed solid.

We had snow twice in the night and it froze and is very treacherous under foot. Had to go out to get more catfood as the cold has made them eat more and supplies were running low. Hope we dont have to go out again this side of Christmas Have cancelled OH's hospital appointment tomorrow as ther is no way we can get there. It was only a fitting for his orthopaedic shoes.

Hardly any snow in Bournemouth. First snow on the ground this year was just a very thin cover this morning. Tonight at teatime tried again but came to nothing.
