Im not sure who started the thread, but I believe it was started to help our lovely Gaynor in her final months. Used to bring tears of laughter reading it.

I suspect I should have put this on Chat as that is where they 'live' now.

The Pinny Gang was started by Lynda.

Before that was a thread by Lynda called something like "Ethel of Stoke Poges & Bogna"

Gaynor was Ethel, I was Mildred and Lynda Mabel.

Many other people joined in as old folk. We then started another thread called "The Pinny Gang". Gaynor used to look in and join in, and it used to brighten up some bad days for her when she was so ill

When I decided on a name change, I changed to Mildred Honkinbottom, in memory of Gaynor. I still occasionally call Lynda Mabe :o))

I have bookmarked this so that I can look at the original thread tomorrow. It sound hilarious, and we could do with more threads like that. Too much seriousness and acrimony these days.
