If you could time travel !
Where and when would go !
What would you take with you that would pass in that time !
----------------------------------
I would go back to this date 107 years ago to be in time for
my Grandparents marriage on Christmas Eve 1902 at St.Marys
Church,Alverstoke,Hampshire.
I would take with me my old Brownie Box Camera to take
a photo of their wedding [as I don't have one] also I would
take some of my Victorian coinage,so that I could travel on
the old floating bridge from Gosport to Portsmouth and find
all those missing family records lost in the Blitz.
I would fit in with the times as my wife tells me my clothes
are "out of the ark"
Have a good Christmas one and all.
I will back in 1902.
Regards Ron of Romsey

I would want to go back to the mid 1970's when all four of my grandparents were alive - I could ask them about their parents and they parents before them
I would also have my Mum and Dad with me again

I could tell all six of them how much I love them and tell my grandparents about their great grandchildren and how they would love them to bits

Oh dear this is making me sad.............

I think I would stay exactley where I am getting ready for 2010 as this is where I'm meant to be

Dear Ronald

Hello

This is a very nice post.

I would go back to 31 December 1899 to find our what our ancestors thought of a new century.

I would also buy all the newspapers on sale.

Take care all

Best wishes

Well, I know I wouldn't go back to 1851, when my gg grandfather's brother tried to derail a train - from newspaper reports he sounds like an idiot and a bit of a 'hoodie' of his time!
1851 was the year his brother , my gg grandfather became a Metropolitan Policeman - and managed to stay there long enough to get a pension!

I'd love to find out who my dad's dad was - but to go back then would be a wee bit embarrassing!!!

I'd quite like to go back to Southampton in 1924 and eavesdrop on my gran & grandad in the pub with their best friends Hilda & Stan.
I've got the letters - but want to find out more!!!

That is a hard question if we could only visit one time, but I would have to go to the thirties and find out just who my maternal grandmother was.

After a year of searching she still eludes me.

I would like to have met my Grandmother - she died when my mother was four in the flu epidemic at the end of the first world war.
Oh that I could go back then with the drugs/health care that we have now and perhaps we all could have known this woman and changed the course of my family history.

If it was FH purposes only then it would be to about 1830/40's just to see what was happening with GGGGranfathers family hmmmmm

If it wasnt for FH purposes then I would just like to watch our family in the early 70's....lol
