I do hope you all enjoy the festivities in whatever way suits you best. I want to say thanks for all the love and support I find here and for the many cards I have received , still have to pick up my mail from my own house later today so probably more there too.
If I have missed sending a card, do accept my apologies - I lost a list of addresses and what with that and the bump on the head last week, I think several people will wonder why they haven't heard from me. I was doing so well till I slipped and then everything went to pot.

I have got the food in, well most of it, and all the presents for son and misery guts here, most of them wrapped, and intend to finish last minute things today and then just cook dinner on C. Day and after that, be a complete slug on the sofa for a day or so!
And if o.h. doesn't like it he can lump it lol

take care everyone if out and about in nasty weather, and have a lovely time with friends and family

Thanks all, snow has almost gone here so safer to drive around, a bit iffy on some pavements yesterday but I shan't be going far today, cooking dinner and then that's it, a slug on the sofa with goodies and tv, a book and some magazines to catch up with and a few New Year messages to send for those whose cards I didn't get round to writing.

Still a bit headachey at times, but that's because I am trying to do too much so will ease up now and have an apptmt with the optician early in Jan so can get all checked out.

I am sorry to have neglected you for some time, but things were not as usual here!
But - guess who has gone back to fill-in for another two weeks?
So, things are peaceful here for now. Peaceful, but cold, as our boiler has shut down for the holiday.
No snow or ice here today, so far, but it has been fairly dangerous for the past day or two.

What date is he back - maybe I can get in a phonecall! Hope that boiler gets fixed soon, I think you are throwing good money after bad there, hope you can keep warm and safe, did you read about my fall? It was almost a week ago but still feeling the effects, it's on a thread called Ouch!

Yes, love, I did add a suggestion about keeping extra frozen veg in case of need! So sorry you are still feeling sore, but not surprised. You could have broken bones.
It is a lovely sunny day here today - no snow or ice. Have been out to visit my sister and taken presents to niece and her new husband. Am now about to start cooking in time for younger sprog's second festive meal today! We, of course, are second on his visiting list.
I don't think we will be barbecuing the bird this year, but if T is here next Christmas ..... He does get cross if I throw him out in the snow!
He is back on 7th, I think, and wants a warm house to come home to. Depends on the current 'gasberk' having a 7th attempt to keep it running.

A very Merry Christmas from me too dear friends . . . i am on my feet, we are having a green Christmas day, rain forecast this evening. kids are all high as kites of course. I am frantically trying to thaw out Tom Turkey, as at the last minute, my son and g/f have decided to visit us today instead of Sunday . . . we were planning on a nice chunk of roast beef, but now we'll add the turkey,I hope, as the g/f has apparently made gourmet cranberry sauce to go with the frozen turkey LOL.
oh well, we'll survive . . .
