does anyone know if i phone a 800 number will i be charged

Yes you will Julie, usually local rates. They are not premium rate numbers but they are certainly not free. I know 0845 is local rates.

Hi Lynda..no it was defiantly (sp) 800 it's for Ipod support..i was hoping it was 0800 lol

Ohhh sorry, misread. Just googled, because I heard something the other week about 800 numbers...here's what I found.

800 Numbers
0800 and 0808 free phone numbers cost your caller nothing and could dramatically increase the number of contacts you receive. In fact 61% of UK consumers are more likely to call a company with a freephone number. Call charges to you start at 4ppm with volume discounts available upon request. In the light of recent Ofcom changes to 0870 numbers, 0800 numbers are becoming more popular for clients who put sales generation at the top of their list.
