The BBCs tribute to those we lost in 2009. It is so sad that so many relatively young people died.

Thanks for this thread, 0071/2..... I lost some very good friends in the last year..... some of whom I had never even met this time last year, but we all became so close, and one I knew for such a short period of time...... but 3 weeks in the next bed makes or breaks!!.

For S....... a real perky little angel you've made, I bet... we shared our darkest moments and fears, sat with each other from the beginning. I miss you so much, your texts, your curmudgeon-iness... you!

For C.... you were the first friend I lost, I knew you for such a short space of time.... boy did we have a riot in that ward. I bet you have organised all the painting and decorating, and DIY in Heaven, lol

P.... re-united with all her babies, now. God bless you...

T.... Has God got earache yet???? Keep away from S.... remember she was going to smother the pair of us one day cos we didn't stop talking....... the nurses were hysterical with laughter, all day..... well, you might just find yourself smothered if she meets up with you again!! ..

There were many others... but I was especially close to these good friends, and I remember them with love, and joy, and laughter, and tears. And most of all, with gratitude.

With love

Mine is on a very personal note as well.
I lost my very close friend Ann who was one very brave and amazing lady and, 9 days later I lost my Precious Mum who was a wonderful caring and Special Mum. Today we interred her Ashes with my Sister who died young.
A very cold and bleak day to do this on but, now she is at rest with Gillian, my lovely Sister.
God Bless You Ann, Mum and Gillian..

With memories of my beloved Mum who we laid to rest in November, not looking forward to my birthday on Friday without you Mum. I can't even get to the cemetery with some flowers because of this stonking cold I've got. Hope you and my Dad and sister and brothers celebrate together for me.
