When my ex and I split I went back to my maiden name,I also thought I would be up for big money but I wasn't.All I needed was a J.P. to witness that I was now going to be known as ....And anyway if its your birth name you never lose it?We only take the husbands name out of respect.Alot of women dont even take or use the married name(its fashionable).I was glad to get rid of his name,Its like loosing your own identity,! Good luck. |
