You are right about the council they should be clearing the pavements and roads in this weather

You certainly don't have to be too elderly to feel trapped by the icy pavements. I've had both knees replaced in the last 18 months and I'm terrified of falling again (the replacements came about because of a fall), so I haven't ventured out much.

Luckily my son and husband both drive so I've only been out when they could take me in the car.

Hi CatieI
We have an elderley neighbour we keep an eye on luckily she has family who pop in and out but not all do
if we are finding it hard to get about it must be even harder for them and a lot of elderley wont want to go out in the snow in fear of falling ect
it doesnt take a min to pop over and just check them to make sure they have all they need and are keeping warm and lets them know someone cares x

What a lovely thought Polly. We have a neighbour who is 85 and he checks up on everyone else Lol. He even knocked to see if I was ok and I'm only 24 Lol If the world was filled with more people like that, it would be wonderful.

Hi Everyone
If you have snow where you are and manage to get to shops
Please spare a thought for an elderley neighbour who may be on their own and find it hard to get out
Or anyone you know who is housebound
Take the time if you can to check on them and see if they need anything milk ,bread ect
Or even if they are just keeping warm xxx
