o.h. hasn't done more than clamp the mirror in place at the mo, it's been too cold for him to do much else and he is at work on late shift now for the rest of the week. He did find some info from one of the sites you told me about, which I forwarded to him, thanks.

Hi Keith, as it's staying on so well with the clamp he hasn't done much more to make it a permanent repair as it's so cold outside to do much before he goes to work. I will let you know how well it goes lol probably a lot of swearing especially if the trim breaks when he takes that off to get to the screws under there.
