Huia, hello, I hope you enjoy reading about Norwich, I will have to look at the mag here when I go out - not looking forward to venturing forth tomorrow for the optician as it's so icy here to even get to the bus stop and o.h. will have to take the car for work as too icy to cycle. |

I always find the instructions the most daunting on any machinery. I had to get a new food processor as the one MIL gave me finally broke down, it is much the same as the old one at the same time very different, I have been reading the instructions and a bit baffled to say the least. I am just going to get it out and have a play around with it. We have a glut of zucchini at the moment and the large ones we have been giving to the chickens, so I thought I would chop and slice and dice etc then feed it to the chickens. Only way I think I will learn, |

I have not seen that Magazine, Huia. Then again do not get to the newsagents much. Will keep an eye out for it as sounds interesting. Hadrians Wall also has a fascination for me. |

Articles in the mag were about Norwich (Liz, the Purple One), Clovelly which I visited in 1997, Hadrians Wall with a photo of the Mithraic temple which I also visited in '97. My sister was making a beeline for the altar stones but my eye was caught by a low wall lining the centre aisle. It looked like basket weaving but it was carved in stone, unless it was real wicker weaving which had petrified, but I doubt if it would have done so in only 1700 yrs. I must send a photo to the mag and ask about it. |

Today I bought an English mag, Heritage, as it had some interesting articles. When I got home and was reading it I wondered how old it was as most English mags take about 3 months to appear in our shops. Imagine my surprise when I saw the date on the cover - February 2010! That would take a bit of beating. |
