Would you believe i got a reply-which tho not offensive was obnoxious in it's tone!! i've told him if he doesn't want to see wot I'm doing then it's not a problem!! Right off to privacy settings!!......

Now..... do you know what I would do? I would send a *polite but curt* message back to the jobsworth (I love it, too, Maggie, lol) and inform them that if they no longer wish to receive the info.... the remedy is actually in their own hands if they got off their lazy derriere and looked in the correct section of their homepage.

Some folk!! Even I managed to hit the correct settings buttons weeks ago when it happened, the *fiddling around with what ain't broke by GR I mean*... and they don't come much more numpty-esque than me, lolol!!

ANY thread I had posted to was mentioned.....
and she was wondering why I was sending them........I wasnt!!
but a trip to PRIVACY SETTINGS
and I removed the facility for them to be sent!!

The only difference being, the 'Jobsworth' who has decided what you can and can't do isn't a 'Jobsworth', but an interfering self appointed 'purveyor of all things right' (according to them!) LOL

Well that person, won't have the opportunity to comment anymore--how dare he presume to tell me what I can and can't do!! - I don't very often get mad but my heckles are bristling with this !!

My updates only show changes to people's trees.

The amount of stuff I post on threads and the amount of threads I post must drive them all nuts. Poor things.

CC and Jill if you have someone in your 'updates' on homepage...ie someone whose tree you can view , it will come up as an 'update' on them when they post a thread as well as when they add names to tree etc...

I have one in mine now... a post on chat .... from someone whose tree I can view....

To be honest I have no idea at all what the updates feature is--but shall we all do it--when we find out what it is!!! lol
And the message was very abrupt--I was so mad i've dleted the person from my contacts--I can do without demi-gods in it!!!

Carol, what do they (whoever they are) mean by the updates feature. Do they mean Nudging?

What's the updates feature? (I have a sudden urge to go and post a silly thread on it!)

I just got a very curt and snotty message demanding that I stop using the updates feature for silly threads!!! As far as I'm aware I've NEVER used the updates feature!!!! I am VERY offended!!!
