Has anybody paid ancestry sub recently? I have had an ongoing membership since 2004, 18 Dec 2008 I paid £83 sub.
18 Dec 2009 £107 They are trying to tell me £83 was a special offer I don't remember any offer, does anyone else?

I recently renewed Essentials at a cost of £83. £107 is the current rate for Ancestry Premium and Worldwide is £155.

If you have Premium, then yes you received a discount last time. I remember there were some special offers to tempt people to upgrade.

Sometimes if you let your subscription lapse, or speak nicely to them they will offer a discount for you to renew.

I have always had premium but I dont remember £83 in 2008 being a special offer, it had gone up from the year before, but 2009 it went up more than ever. I paid £107 for exactly the same as the time before but I tried to do without it for a month but got withdrawal symptoms and I never got any offer of a discount.

Dread to think what it will be next time.

By coincidence had a reminder yesterday to be paid next month (Feb) sum due, £83.40.
