While trying to aquire the taste, it is better if you only let the tea bag brew for the minimum suggested time. Otherwise it can be rather strong.

It also speeds up your metabilism, therefore it helps with weight loss.

I always drink Green Tea whenever we have Japanese or Chinese food, several mugs of it!

.............. it's drunk without milk OR sugar. Neither is supplied in either of the eateries, and they wouldn't know what to do if you asked for it.

I like it ................. but I suppose it is a bit of an acquired taste for some people.

Japanese eateries here tend to bring you a mug (or large handleless cup) of green tea, then re-fill as needed. Chinese eateries tend to bring you the teapot for you to re-fill the cups .................. if you need more, you just invert the lid of the teapot, and they will bring a new pot-full.

Asda are also selling Green Tea at a very low price at the moment. Green Tea is to be taken without milk, pure green tea does take a while to get used to, its well worth sticking with it as it has a lot of health benefits. You can buy Green Tea with lemon/pear/apple, much easier on the tast buds if you really can't get on with Pure Green Tea.

Don't put milk in your green tea!

...if you want to preserve your tea's antioxidant properties, that is.

A study done in Italy found that when mixed with cow's milk, both green and black tea completely lost their antioxidant effects inside the body.

The researchers theorize that this destruction of antioxidant properties is from the proteins in the milk binding to the tea's polyphenols.

Incidentally, it was also found that green tea is six times as potent as black tea when it comes to disease-fighting antioxidant effects

i you google tells you lots more

I would try it without milk and hope you can enjoy it like that Joseanne. If it's not nice then use a little milk - doesn't it suggest anything on the packet? A little honey is sometimes nice in those sorts of tea I think.
Good luck

Waitrose had Green Tea on offer so I got some today.
Never had it before so not sure if you drink it on its own or with milk.
