Is he still in education? Your ex should have to pay till he stops education or is 18 I think it is. Strange that they have finally got him to pay up, have you been chasing him all the years before or did he pay you direct?

Yes he is at college doing car mechanics and it is the first time he has paid anything for his son and when I left when he was nearly 4yrs and my other son was 10yrs and got not a thing but had to fill in CSA form when I had to get money to feed kids but never took anything before said he didn't need to pay anything now they have changed mind

I wonder if they will chase him for the arrears if they realise he has been avoiding payment all this while. CSA are hopeless, my ex got hammered for a lump sum of thousands altho the idiot had been putting cash through the ex's door every week and buying clothes, trainers etc for his boys and having them every night for a meal, on alternate weeks due to shifts and having them every weekend. Luckily I was able to convince them he had taken the money to her, she obviously had never declared it and was on benefits, even carried on claiming when her boyfriend moved in, and was warned once before they finally caught up with her and said either you stop claiming now or we take you to court for fraud re the boyfriend. He moved in permanently and she went out to work, she missed her easy life.

I never expected anything as they had said he didn't need to pay now after all this time I don't really want it and my 2nd OH thought it was a joke as he paid for my youngest who is 11yrs till we got married they took £5 of him a week and nowt from 1st oh but I suppose my 17yr old should get something so giving it to him, though not sure about his ex girl friend as she has a son with him who he never sees either and doesn't pay for unless now they have caught up for him also
