What a lovely list of perfumes,I will know where to ask next time i feel like trying something new.I have to have oil based ones as spirit ones fade after half hour.also good to know that I'm not only one who pinches the men in household aftershave! if its good.
any one remember "Manhattan" 1965-66 ish,had a lovely encounter wearing that one.

Jean, many years ago I liked H Rubenstein's Apple Blossom.

Can anyone remember a perfume called Babe (in the 70s) can't remember who made it.

Hmmm! as next year is likely,a census year I think I will advocate the census taker having a swift niff as he collects the finished forms

I used to love Helena Rubenstein's Blue Grass, but I cant stand the perfumes that some wear, that overpower you as they pass. Perfume should be understated. And as for men with their aftershave, cant stand it. Nowadays my favourite is Lavender disinfectant!!

It used to be cheaper to buy it abroad but it's not now, with the Euro.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 22 Jan 2010 17:20

That sounds a good price Julia, I have bought all mine in either Lanzarote or Tenerife but can't remember how much I paid.

On the back of this thread, I have just been out and bought a bottle of Eden. I paid £10.95 for it. And yes I like it very much.
