My pet gripe is badly cut, and therefore, fitting trousers. For me, I find that there is enought material in trouser legs at the back, just below the b*m, to make me another pair of trousers. Why do manufacturers think that just because you want a largist size, for waist and stomach purposes, that you have thighs like York Hams. No, I have nothing against York Ham, but I feel as if I am being buried in fabric. It is same with the bottoms, for me at least. I only have size five feet, so too much fabric flapping around covers my shoes, and makes my feet disappear. They are far too wide and out of proportion. These are all from M & S, who'se standards have definitely slipped in recent years, in my mind. I have always bought their 'Short' length trousers, and even they seem to be getting too long. Am I shrinking in height in me old age. |

Good Morning to you too Whirley. Regarding M & S standards. I remember well when my old Mum worked in a knitwear factory as a 'runner on'. M & S inspectors would come round the factory, and if just one thing was wrong on a line, the whole order would be cancelled, and hundreds of dozens of an item, would be consigned to the factory shop. |

My ex father in law (RIP) made his fortune via M&S in that he was responsible for alot of the clothing (mainly ladies) that then came in from Italy or wherever, they'd go to his warehouse and there they would be put on hangers, labelled up etc and then off to the store. The M&S clothing inspectors would randon check garments and if any fault was found, they would reject the lot...they were very stritct. It was quite nice for me cos I got given a lot of samples. |

I always found that M&S trousers were never long enough from waist to crutch so would do me a mischief when i sat down . |

Shirley Babes, that is just what i mean about the b*m and thigh area. I have a size 18 now, but even have problems with them. |

Perhaps the extra material in the Posterior Area is to cater for the possible damage to the Ozone Layer and Protect it. **M**.pmsl:o))))> |

Even in Evans, I find the bigger the size, the shorter you are expected to be. We can be tall and large too you know, and probably still in proportion at times. |

Phew - have just finished all 15 pairs of trousers. Just got to press them back into shape, and turn the bottoms up, tomorrow. Been at it all day, but have had me f*g breaks on here. |
