last time i went to a club was my hen night and that over 22 years ago definitely got blotto that night they help me up down the stairs and told hubby shes not too bad as i fell into his arms, he had to walk me up and down the road outside our flat to sober me up a bit and spent all night on bathroom floor.

Oh they were the days lol

how many times do you see girls walking along holding their shoes because their feet are sore from dancing in high heels.

Would rather look stupid in flip flops than have cut up feet or even worse be stabbed in the foot by a thrown away dirty needle

My OH's cousin died in the same way about 25 yrs ago.......walking home the canal route and never returning.

I also think it's a really good idea.xx

and they will also see that people the worse for wear for drink (particularly young women) get safely into properly licensed taxi cabs. Whether we think it right or not, the reality is that people will go out and have far too much to drink, lose their high heels along with their common sense and so put themselves at risk. These volunteers (and they are just that - unpaid volunteers) are contributing to public safety, putting themselves at risk of abuse to ensure these people get home safely.
Don't knock it....

Stray, the flip-flop idea has already been done in Derby city centre on a Saturday night by some sort of rent-a-priest-mob. Don't know if it works. personally speaking I am in me bed by that time of night, and I never did look good in flip-flops
