I think a few extra blokes will watch the bob sleigh after that British girl split her skin-tight suit the other day and showed her bum and thong to the world pmsl she didn't even know until after the run!

I have always enjoyed watching both the summer and winter Olympics. This year is a little more exciting as Vancouver/Whistler will be hosting the games.
The Olympic torch has made it's way back to BC after traveling all over the country.
I have been invited to a "torch" party with friends to see the torch as it passes their work site.

I'll be able to watch the events in real time for a change.

Night Lynda....enjoy your tennis.

Without a doubt my favourite sport to watch is ice hockey. There is always a friendly (?) rivalry between the USA and Canada for the gold medal. Both the woman and men are fantastic to watch.

I'm sure there will be a few Olympic ice hockey parties when the time comes.

Can't wait for the Winter Olympics - i used to go ice-skating in the 1970s, at Altrincham Ice Rink, not been for years, marriage and children came along!! I have still got my skates (and the husband and children). I finish work on the 12th February for a week, so will be glued to the telly. I went to Canada in 1976 for a months holiday, i have never forgotten it, a lovely Country and friendly people, my first holiday abroad, in fact my first proper holiday (although i did go to the Lake District with school in 1972, another holiday i have never forgotten).

Deb Vancouver, i am jealous, enjoy it all, i can remember when Manchester hosted the 2002 Commonwealth Games, fantastic atmosphere.

Regards Paulene x

I will be watching, if I can stay awake.

Some some iceskating on the box today, European Figure Skating from Estonia. But was also watching the F.A. Cup match Stoke v Arsenal (well done Stoke).

Have been to just one ice hocky match, while on a short visit to New York.
Very Exciting and fast moving.

Really looking forward to the Winter Olympics. Hope that you get the snow you need. Or that the temps are low enough for the snow machine to work.

Eddie the Eagle! I forgot about him, he was a riot!

Then there is the Jamaican bobsled team, (I loved the movie "Cool Runnings"). They will be having a team at this Olympics.

Then there is the lack of snow! We have had record high temps for the last week or so. 12c on many days. But it was snowing on the mountains last wek. They have closed down one of our local mountaing to the public to conserve the snow.

They have plans in place to make snow, but the real stuff would be a lot nicer.

Yes Lynda hockey is a fast physical game. I love a good fight on the ice!

Canadians are avid about their hockey as much as the Brits are about their football. If the Vancouver Canucks are playing you can guarante that our TV will be on for the game. Most games are played at night so we make an evening of it.

It will be interesting. There are players on US league teams who are Canadian. During the hockey season they are the "enemy" .
Now they will be our friends and not our foe as they will be playing for Canada.
