our british soldiers had to eat that after their food supplies were damaged in an attack,

my hubbys dont mind spam,
son laughs at him, and says, S P A M

you can get 4 slices of spam with cheese on top and covered in bread crumbs in sainsbrys and tescos, just grill um
real cheep
i hate um myself,
but if cooked for me id eat um,

My friends son is home from Afghanistan on leave.

I asked him did he enjoy his Christmas dinner as seen on the TV.

His reply:-

*Didn't they show you the Chips we had I never saw a Christmas dinner*

Sums it up really.........

...Spam fritters with a tin of beans on top - a good scoff with built in entertainment for later.
It used to be poor peoples food and a regular for me in the 50's but at £2 a tin you can keep it now.

My dear old dad refused to talk about the war.

All he insisted upon was that he NEVER ate SPAM or CURRY again.

And he never did.

They were banned from our house.

I never ate either until I left home.

Have a good day all, today I retire, have looked forward to it for so long.

we still find out though,
bet the officers had christmas dinner though

Specially Prepared American Meat......aka SPAM , personally I'm not keen on it and prefer corned beef .....lol
