Any views on relative merits? I have used Ancestry free at the LMA & it's certainly powerful. Am considering a 72hr sign up to Origins.
Any comments?

It also depends on what part of the world you are searching for your ancestors.

Just a quick look at the site ( Origins ) tells me its just British and Irish ancestors.

Myself being an Australian, and a member of Ancestry au benefits me more, as it provides me access to both Australian & U.K records.

Patrick,
I have just tested 6 of my family relatives 2 from Ireland. back in the 1850's.... and NONE came up on Origins.

Would that give you an Idea.?
