Morning all and evening Kim,
How on earth does your cat bring a MOOSE into the house David???
Raining here and the corn pot outside the back door for the pheasents is empty and we have five pairs of female eyes looking at us from the front lawn. Oh has braved it and got their corn and now two more girls have come down the garden so we have 7 female pheasents feeding and the new male on the block.

Morning all, Evening Kim., I won't say GOOD MORNING, as it's a filthy day out there.. Welcome along DET. We like to be informed of changes, as we are a lot of Elderly old Far## who know little about changes LOL LOL
I have just got up and had a shower. I have been in and out since 3.30 am visiting my "WHITE FRIEND" I tried a COT earlier and that's just gone straight through me.!!! So no food or drink today. I can only put it down to the Stuffing that Ros made last night. I didn't even go to the pub.
I rang my niece last night. They took a biopsy last week, and she went to the hospital yesterday for the results "ALL CLEAR" thank heavens. The specialist said that all these people telling her she had CANCER just hadn't followed the correct procedures. He said blood tests alone are no good. They must do a BIOPSY and test from there. Needless to say she will be having strong words with her GP and Scottish Health.
Off back to bed now. I thought I had better post as I don't want a search party out.!!!
Jane you should keep all these rabbits for stews and the skins would make lovely slippers :-D :-D :-D ;-) ;-) ;-) GOOD OLD THOMAS .
Ann, What type of cameras are you selling.??? I only have a small digital one, and have been thinking of changing up to something bigger and better.

Afternoon everyone on a wet and miserable Saturday. It has stopped raining for now so Thomas has been booted out :-D LOL Frank I did wonder how Thomas might react if I was to cook Rabbit :-D(not that there is any chance of that.I don't eat Rabbit. I hope your tummy settles ..Fancy blaming poor Ros and her stuffing !!
David I did have to laugh at 6 this morning just afer you posted about Moose being brought home by the cat :-D :-D :-D..I thought of Fitz's cat dragging Pheasants ,Squirrels etc through the cat flap.I am so glad we decided not to have a flap in our back door but just the one in the Summerhouse.
Thanks DET for that bit of info.I have always thought how daft it was we had to not 'advertise' anything.Everyone knew what the words were anyway.
Brilliant news for your Niece Frank :-D :-D
I have just done a Normandy Pork Casserole. It is in the oven now for a couple of hours and I'll just need to add some Creme Fraiche,Dijon Mustard,Cornflour and fresh chopped Tarragon later. Will have rice with it.I haven't done this dish in ages.
Must tell you about last night.....It was 11pm and Chris and I were in bed .Chris asleep and i had just turned off my bedside light.....The doorbell rang..........I thought it was James and that I had locked him out.So I get out of bed in quite a skimpy nightie and hang out of the landing window calling"Is that you James?"..........It was only my stupid next door neighbour bringing round a BIG LONG BOX that had been delivered to him by mistake..It was a flat packed garden bench....For gawds sake why on earth did he decide to bring it around at that time of night !!!!!!!!!!.This morning would have been fine.He left the box propped up at the front door.Honestly he needs his bumps felt :-S :-S...So there was me in nearly the altogether struggling to lift the darned thing over the doorstep.I went back to bed and Chris was totally oblivious :-| snoring away.I wish I had woken him up as it was his flipping seat LOL I took a pic of it .It was as tall as me...It made me think .Maybe the next time I have a parcel delivered here for next door maybe I should wait until I see all their lights off at night and then go and ring their bell...I know the reception I would get if it was Mrs Next door and it wouldn't be a pleasant one :-S
Mel is it Pheasant Shooting time? I keep hearing a lot of guns going off around here :-S

Not sure Jane I know grouse shooting starts on the 8th Aug. Oh is having 40 winks so I can't ask him yet. I know the young pheasents have been let out of their pens over the woods as we get a lot of them in the garden. Maybe repeating myself but we had 7 girls and Phil the new male who has taken over the garden now this morning.

Just finished off the Normandy Pork dish.it does taste flipping good :-D :-D.I will just have to reheat in later.I did a silly thing though.after i took it out of the oven and put the pan on the hob to do the thickening,I grabbed the handle on the lid and now have a nice blister coming on one of my fingers :-S :-S
It's very quiet here today. Is everyone busy or watching sport on TV?

Afternoon all
All this talk of oven cleaners, I didn't realise there were so many around. So long as they do the job, that's the main thing.
It started off raining here today but the sun has finally made an appearance.
Good news for your niece Frank, sorry to hear you're not so good though, hope you are feeling a bit better now.
Oh dear Jane, what a time for your neighbour to bring the parcel round. I think after that I'd be tempted to do the same back to them, but I doubt I would actually do it, I couldn't be that mean. Like you said the following morning would of been okay. So Thomas is still enjoying his rabbits I see. I bet you are glad you didn't put the cat flap in the back door, it was a good decision to put it in the summerhouse door instead, your kitchen would of been full of dead rabbits otherwise. We got a phone call yesterday for another viewing for today. It's a man on his own who seems very keen on our place and was even saying he might want a second viewing, so that's two possible people wanting to take another look. The man is going away on Monday till Friday and I believe the first couple may want to view again sometime next week, so everything is starting to look positive......lets hope it stays that way.
We have found a property in the next village to us, the one OH works in, so we have booked a viewing to go and see it on Monday afternoon. It needs a lot of updating and as a result there is a lot of interest in it. We wanted to go and see it today but their appointments were fully booked which is why we're going on Monday instead. I've got a feeling the price will go up if enough people want it, so we will give it a miss if that's the case, we don't want to get into a bidding war with anyone and beside, we might not even sell ours.....don't want to count our chickens before they're hatched. ;-) ;-) <3 <3 We just thought we'd better start looking at a few places incase we do sell. I tried looking down south again online yesterday but there really isn't much in our price range, so it looks like we'll be staying in this area for a while yet until we can save up some more money.
We had a scare last night when we saw the news about Talk Talk we are with them so I thought I'd better check our online banking but OH said not to just incase, so he went to the cashpoint machine instead, luckily our account hasn't been touched, we're just hoping it stays that way. I rang Michelle to let her know so she checked her bank account and hers was safe too. While I was on the phone to Michelle her boyfriend suggested asking the bank to send us text alerts if anymore than £100 comes out of our bank at any one time, that way we'll know straight away if anyone tries accessing our account. Michelle's boyfriend is a bank manager so knows his stuff and happens to be the manager of the same bank OH and I bank at, which was lucky, so we're off to the bank on Monday to arrange it.
Going to get a cuppa, then start thinking about dinner, not sure what we're having yet, shall have to see what everyone wants.

Afternoon all,
We have been in the garden all the morning ,hubby decided he would pressure wash all the slabs so i had to move all my pots and the garden furniture and then move it all back when he had done . We were getting on so well and then down came the rain so we packed up ,there's just a little bit more to do .
That's good news for your niece Frank , hope your feeling better after the white friend visits , what had Ros put in the stuffing that you think didn't agree with you ?
Gosh Jane what a time to knock on some ones door , you must have wondered who the heck it was knocking a that time of night !! Fancy Chris sleeping through it ,he must be a sound sleeper .
Naughty Mel buying scones and cream :-D but then i've been naughty as i bought some fresh cream cakes today too.
Good news then Gill on the house with another viewing ,is the house your looking at very far from where you are now ? Glad you haven't had trouble with Talk Talk ,what a worry for a lot of people .
We're having the sausage and veg tray bake today ,it's nice and easy ,i haven't made that Normandy Pork Casserole for a while Jane it is tasty isn't it .
Rains stopped at the moment but it's still cloudy ,we mustn't forget the clocks go back tonight .

Here the first shoot is Nov 4th, (OH is taking Cas!!) and then in other local areas, in rotation till, 1st Feb (I think) as in everything you can find out on line!! Horrible wet day here, but the sun is finally out so it's time for our walk!

Hello everyone,
It's still morning here and the weather is fine. We are still enjoying 70 plus degrees.
I hope everybody's aches and pains have diminished. I seem to get rid of one health problem and up pops another one. Mustn't grumble, as mum used to say.
I am off to grand daughter's 8th birthday party in a couple of hours. Since it is so close to Halloween we are dressing up - nothing ghoulish as there are little kids there. I am attempting to be a pumpkin. Will send pictures.
My eldest son and his family have gone to Hawaii for vacation. That is dil's home. Their 2 daughters and hubbies, and their son and grandson (my great grandson). The baby will have his 1st birthday party there. It will be a big celebration, with all his Hawaiian relatives.
My old Lucy hasn't woken up yet. She will be 17 In March - I don't think she'll make it. Poor old girl is having a hard time with steps, but she is too heavy for me to carry. Her appetite is still good, but she is getting sores around her mouth again. Sometimes I watch her sleeping and think she is not breathing - makes me think of the old dog in the TV show - "Vicious."
Sorry you've had so much stress lately Frank. I find it better for my digestive system to have my main meal in the middle of the day, and then something light in the evening.
I have a quilting machine which was not at all expensive. I didn't want loads of stitches because I knew I wouldn't use them, but the machine allows you to raise the presser foot higher than a regular machine, thus allowing for the thickness of the quilt.
I too laughed about David's moose. :-D
The fellow who cleaned out your In-laws' house Annx must have a very lucrative business. I know it was well worth it to you. It was a huge job wasn't it?
Lucy's awake. Must go and see to her. She has a bacon snack and two peanut butter biccies when she gets up (dog's ones). It's after 12 noon.

No Mel i never added it in ,you said in your post at 12 43 that you might buy some scones and cream :-D
Ruby my Toby has trouble with steps too ,he will be 15 in Feb he sleeps a lot now and some times i have to check he's still breathing :-) i would like to think that he would just slip away in his sleep . Looking forward to seeing Pumpkin Ruby :-D
Gosh Jane you must have had a struggle getting that parcel over the door step ,those benches weigh a ton !!
Well our sausage tray bake was nice but i forgot to buy the thyme when i went shopping and it certainly needs the thyme as the taste wasn't the same .

Good afternoon all
It is a horrid day here weather wise raining really hard.
Sorry to hear you haven't been well Frank and I hope you are feeling better now. Good news about your niece and must be a great relief for her.
Gill your bungalow is attracting a lot of attention, will you be out of pocket once you have paid out agent's fees etc if you plan to stay in the same area. Property prices seem to go up every day and first time buyers don't stand a chance round here. Paul bought his first house at the right time about 16 years ago just before Abbie was born. The owner lived abroad and it had been let out to students, what a mess it was in plus he found evidence of cannabis growing in an upstairs cupboard.
Abbie and Becky are on their laptops as usual and I have had a lazy day apart from cooking.
I'm pleased to hear it's ok to use the full names for commercial things I do this and thought it was alright.
Amy still seems a bit wobbly on her legs one of our other boxers had the same problem, she has started to worry me now as 11 is a good age for this breed although one of the others was 13.5 so I would love her to break this record.
Ruby your Lucy is a good age Peter's parents had a dog called Paddy that lived to 21 they knew this was right because their youngest daughter was born the same year. We do get attached to our pets and they are good company and so loyal.
I think I bought Oven Pride a little while ago it must be in the utility room. I have a very sensitive skin so will have to be very careful. One of the worse things for my skin is Pears soap, I only use Dove now and E45 cream
Just going to get tea for the girls and myself Richard & Paul have gone to ice hockey so we can watch Strictly without any jokey remarks.

He must have forgotten about the parcel earlier Jane! I wouldn't have gone to the door at that time either, even if I was still up, certainly not in anything flimsy.......and there was me thinking you didn't wear anything in bed??? No wonder Thomas wasn't at all skinny when he turned up. He's like an animal Bear Grylls living off the land. lol.
We saw some Pheasants at the side of one of the lanes this morning. OH sighed and said 'they are doing their favourite sport again.............dicing with death'. :-S
I hope you are feeling a bit better now Frank. I bet it could be a bit of stress causing it. Good news for your niece though and a weight off her mind.
It's been quite rainy here this morning and the leaves are really falling and coating the pavements now. Yes the clocks change tonight don't they and it will really feel like winter is here then.
Ruby, I wouldn't need much padding to be a pumpkin. :-S I seem to have lumped more weight on this year, losing track of what I ate with things on my mind. I look forward to seeing you as a pumpkin!! Yes, I think the chap who cleared the house must do well. Umpteen solicitors recommend him on his website and he is so conscientious. As he says on his website....his word is his bond! He said he usually starts at 6.00am and works all weekends too if it's needed by his customers........said he loved working. When I was looking for his website online I noticed a newspaper article in June this year where he had found a live grenade under some rubbish when he was doing a house clearance!!! He'd called the police who'd evacuated houses nearby. It is a shame about your Lucy, the poor old girl struggling with steps.
Fancy you getting a moose in your hoose David!! ;-)

Laughed about the jokey remarks. My oh always starts to talk just when you want to hear something thats being said. I use Pears soap in the bathroom but have E45 in the kitchen to wash my hands with but never think it really washes if you know what I mean so sometimes I use the Carex aloe vera first then the E45. I still have some of those red spots coming up on my palms and my hands look very dry with the skin streached across the palms.
Hope Frank feels better now and has rested today. It takes it out of you when you have to keep visiting the white friend.

Evening All,
After I got up this morning again, I put on my winter dressing gown, turned on the heating, wrapped myself in a fleece and sat in my armchair and slept on and off all day. I have just had a piece of toast, but nothing to drink but a Horlicks (I've said it !!!)
I bet your neighbour just wanted to make you get up Jane, I think I would have given him a mouthful knocking at that time of night. :-( :-(
Let's see the PUMKIN GIRL. You do get in the mood of things, don't you Ruby ?? Sorry to hear about your old dog, but I bet she's had a good like, there might be more years in her yet the way you look after her.
I certainly liked your OH comment about the pheasants Ann. :-D :-D :-D
The weather has been abysmal today, The rain arrived this morning and stayed all day.
Nothing much on ordinary T.V. tonight so I am going to ITV 3 and catch up with some oldies. (just like you lot !!!!)
See you in the morning.
