Sorry to hear about your neighbours daughter ,had she been ill ? thirty is no age is it .

I wonder how Gill and family got on at the party last night , i bet they all had a good lay in this morning .

HEY SHIRL :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D...YOU DID IT <3 <3

Mel if you have found a site on line that you want ot buy something from. You don't always have to buy on line.If you go to the 'CONTACT US' bit there may very well be a tel number you can ring to order.I have done that many a time.If they ask for an email address just say you don't have one.We order so much on line these days as many others do and up til now we have had no problems with security etc.

Good Afternoon everyone

We have just had our main meal, leg of lamb with roast potatoes, Yorkshires and all the usual veg.

I hope Gill and family had a really good night out and look forward to hearing all about it.

Mel how sad about your neighbour's daughter.

I was telling Abbie & Becky about the ghosts of South Hill Park arts centre where I worked since 1978 until I retired about 3 years ago. There were so many strange things over a period of time. These are a few of them

The theatre was shut for the night but the technicians were still in the green room
when they heard footsteps walking across the stage, someone had forgotten to turn the mike off they immediately went to investigate the Theatre was locked but no one was there.

A man on shift work often walked his dogs in the early hours in the grounds after leaving work, he asked a member of staff later on who was it often looking out of one of the small top windows this being the silversmith's room at the time where all the silver was locked in and no one could get in there without a key and the building was alarmed at night,

My own experience was in the ladies loos I went in and could hear someone sobbing in the next cubicle so I looked under the door and could see nothing, I then went and stood on the seat of the next one and although the door was locked it appeared to be empty, I wasn't the only one to hear this, one of the receptionists also had the same thing happen and it completely freaked her out.

There is also a small studio theatre which shows plays suitable for adults only when the play was on one of the actors spotted 3 small children sitting at the back he stopped the performance and alerted the steward that was on duty by the door but when he went to investigate no children inside or out.

It was such a lovely place to work and many now famous stars once performed there, mostly comedians, one of the nicest was Michael McIntyre,.Kate Winslet's
uncle had the restaurant franchise for a time and her Mum Sally often worked there when he was extra busy.

Frank hope your tummy has settled now and you have a better night's sleep tonight

We're the same Mel, we buy most things on line these days, usually Amazon, but Sainsbury's, taxing the car, driving licence, passport etc, as well, and have had no problems with security. It certainly makes life a lot easier than pushing round the shops!!
We've got a picking of brussels from the garden!! so apart from the meat our dinner is all home grown including the plums!!

Tracey

Tracey Report 1 Nov 2015 16:59

WE'VE CAUGHT YOU NOW SHIRL :-D...SO YOU ARE HERE TO STAY :-D :-D

Love your Ghost tales Anne.I never quite know what I think about these things.
I do remember my Mum telling me something that happened when I was little and I know she wouldn't have made it up)...I was 4 or 5 and we had a school friend of mine to stay for about month as her Mum was very ill in hospital. We shared my bedroom.
Mum said that this particular night she heard footsteps in our hall so she got out of bed to investigate. She found the front door open and my befroom door too.
The next day Mum and Dad had the news that my friend's Mum had passed away ....and it was at the same time that Mum heard these footsteps and found the doors ajar .How spooky is that :-0 :-0

Dinner is just about ready to dish up now.My roast potatoes look very disappointing as they haven't crisped up as well as usual . :-S :-S

Mandy oh buys loads of things online. It is just that I don't like paypal. if I can pay with my card thats ok.

Mum had trouble with her bank once someone rang the bank and said they were me and wanted £500 out the only thing was our bank manager knew who we were and this girl had a chinese accent. It must have been something to do with the family tree because she knew a lot of things so I had it taken off of ancestry and I only let people see it for a day or two if they can prove they are a relly.

£50 a day Mel?

It's going to cost Abromovich £30 million to sack Jose Mourinhp

Since he still has three and a half years of his contract to run

that's £23483.365 a day every day

how does anyone be worth that?

magpie Report 1 Nov 2015 18:09

Well, that was a fab dinner though I say it myself! OH helped with the cooking, as it was later than we'd intended because of clearing up the leaves and the bonfire!! but it was delicious!
Quacker has had to have another sewing session! This time a foot had to be sewn back on!!!!!! Poor thing gets such a battering!!
The fog has come right down again and is pretty thick, let's hope it lifts in a day or two.
