I'm no help Frank I'm afraid. But I'm someone here will know what to do.
Well Chris is just back from Northampton. What a long day he had there. The bill for James's service was just under £700 !!!!!! :-0 :-0 :-0... Sheesh he is going to get a shock .Chris was so bored .He went for a wander around the town centre and said it was awful with Rubbish shops.I said that is why I don't bother going in there any more.
Then he went over Beckets Park and quite enjyed that. The rest of the time has been sat in the garage reading and watching some news channel on the tv which was on a loop. One of the ladies said to Chris "You have been here longer than some of the staff today".

The fog hasn't really lifted at all today, not even a little bit of sun that you had Frank.I wonder what tomorrow will be like....Careful if you are walking to the pub tonight Frank
wec can't having you getting lost.

Liz that will be an interesting job .I do think the Tudor times were fascinating.WOW Anne, your OH must have had an interesting family tree....I was Ann Boleyn in fancy dress once :-D :-D.Chris was Henry LOL.We looked a handsome pair :-D

I think Thomas has got or had a Hairball as he has been doing that horrible cough thing that cats do.Yesterday he did bring up something that could have been a hairball so maybe there was still some left.

I won't be having anymore of that Granola that I had this morning...It has made me so bloated and windy :-| :-|..I looked at the ingredients ,and there are Pumpkin Seeds in it.
I wish I had looked before as Pumpkin seeds always have a very undesired affect on me :-S :-S..I think Pump part of the word will give a clue .Sorry if too much info :-)
Does anyone else have trouble when it comes to eating seeds?.I know they are very good for you but this wasn't funny today.I'm just glad I didn't have to go out anywhere.
I did have a couple of Mint Teas this afternoon and think they may just have helped.

David I think you really should investigate getting yourself some car that would suit your needs.Just think of the freedom it will give you.I know you have said for so long now that you miss having a car.

Oh I do hope Gill is ok...It's 2 days now since we heard from her <3

I have just noticed that I have let the fire go out :-S.Mind you I am a bit too warm now so will leave it.Plus I will be in the kitchen soon and that will be warm .
I'm just doing Left Over Roast Beef ,Mashed Potatoes and Greens tonight.

I had a lovely card from Sandra thanking me for the stickers and bookmark I sent her. It is sitting on my desk next to me. It is dated 30th Oct so that was before the party.
I hope everything is ok with them and there is'nt trouble with her mum again. Sending love <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

We jhave had a beautiful day today. I got three lots of washing dry as we had a very chilly breezey winds which helped witht he sunshine.

Sorry Frank, Ann and Jane had a miserable day as well as poor Chris having to wait all that time for the car to be done. Oh's car is still at Stuarts and he dos'nt use it that much so we don't mind it being there a while as we have my car if we wish to go out. He has the docs in the morning so he will probably take my car then too.

Mel, I saw one of your posts seeking help with XXXL bathrobes

Had a look on eBay and the stacks in white or coloured, plain or patterned

from £9.95 to as much as you want to pay <3 <3

Thanx Jane, I was looking at genuine black London taxi cabs for sale

on eBay, very high mileage but very well looked after

from £900 and up

If I picked up any fares it would pay the insurance lol <3

Evening all,

What a day with the fog it hasn't really cleared that much today and it's now getting bad out there again.

That was nice of the children to write the Thank You letters ,i bet Ros was pleased .
Sounds as if the new sewing machine is getting a good testing :-D

Ann that's so annoying when you buy some thing and then find that it need using up quickly because of the date , good that you got the other ingredients or it would have meant another trip out .
Sounds as if they caught FIL's water infection before it really took hold ,the antibiotics should soon do the trick .
Yes i think one more picking of runners and then that will be the lot .

Blimey Charlie that was an expensive service :-0 :-0 was it just a service or did it need a little work doing ?
I don't have any windy trouble with pumpkin seeds ,we like the seeded breads and i usually eat all the seeds that drop off the loaf .

Strange we haven't heard from Gill ,hope every things ok ,it's not like Gill to miss a day posting .

Now then David, You can't do that. !!! It would be nice though. :-D :-D :-D

Poor old Chris being stuck down Bedford Road all day, not much happens down there. Very true about the shops. Now you know why I won't/don't go shopping with Madam. That's some bill for James CAR. ?? What the Hell did they do to it. ?? I think in future you should get an estimate before they start WORK.

Dinner was a bit different tonight. Ros said she won't be buying Venison anytime soon. !!! All the roast veg was nice, and I ate my Venison.

After a lot of toing and throwing, I got my Emails back. 18 waiting for me. Most rubbish as per usual.

Still no Gill I see, has anyone got a phone number. Might be worth checking on her <3 <3

It has turned warm. I got washed and changed ready to go out tonight, and had to take my shirt off as I am far to warm. !!! I need a cold shower. ;-) ;-) ;-)

I asked Ros if she needed anything this afternoon while she was sewing, she said NO. I said "NOT EVEN MY BODY" Definitively NOT was her reply ;-) ;-) ;-) I don't change, DO I ????

See you later.

My late FIL used to buy a new car every other year trading in the previous one.

The Tudors are descended on the maternal side from Edward 111's third son John of Gaunt which is very straightforward; However the paternal side is a bit more complicated, and stretches back into Wales. When I've sorted out Edmund , Jasper and so on, I'm keen to find out how ordinary people lived their lives, religious complications, illnesses, infant mortality and hopefully a lot more.
Tomorrow Cas goes on her first shoot!! Not sure how she'll get on, but she's very keen!!

No trouble with any seeds here. I have the seeded breads like Mandy and I add pumpkin seeds, linseed, sesame, pine nuts to some cereals. I can't be doing with those granola meusli things though, they are so stodgy, chewy and taste much too sweet for me. Meusli is filling anyway and I prefer the cheap Lidl ones.

Poor Chris Jane, I find it boring enough waiting for tyres to be fitted. It's a pity you couldn't have picked him up and gone for lunch somewhere or to the cinema. Isn't there a Volvo Garage in Kettering? That's an eyewatering bill too! You don't want too many of those. :-S I was a queen in fancy dress once.........The Queen of Hearts!

That sounds like a good project for the winter Liz and should keep you busy! OH is far more into history than me and reads lots of historical books, but I have got more interested since I found my probable connection to Lady Godiva! It seems that the trees I have found all go back to her and beyond, but the doubt is which of 2 brothers it goes back through. I bet Cas will be thrilled to be working although I expect she will find distractions at first.

David, why not enquire at one of the firms that adapts cars for the disabled whether a black cab could be made suitable for you? If not, they may have ideas you haven't thought of.

:-D Can see you driving a London Taxi David.

Ann will you keep your free Turkey for Xmas ? Or still get your Farm one?
I think you me and Frank sound like we have been quite fog bound today. And Mel has had all the sunshine !!
James is driving down to Chislehurst tonight to Jess.I hope it is not going to be too foggy for the journey. He has got a really raw throat too.He is going down as they have a Japanese friend who is back in the country for a week and they are going to meet up with her tomorrow afternoon. At least he has 2 new tyres now and new 'Brushes'?(I don't know what they are)

I have been looking out the back door for ages to see if Thomas was ready to come in.
But found him on the settee!!!!!.He must have sneaked in ages ago LOL
He now wants out again :-S
Ann does your 'KItty' want to come in to your bungalow?

I do hope we hear from Gill soon

Annx

Annx Report 2 Nov 2015 20:08

We'll still have the farm one at Christmas Jane. OH wouldn't want to miss out on that. He looks forward to his Christmas dinner with the farm Turkey all year! lol. He's suggested we have this one before Christmas, but I think it would be better to have it nearer Easter myself. The kitty did come just inside the porch once briefly so I don't think he would miss a chance if he saw one. He looks very well cared for and just gets a bit lonely I think as his owners both work. At least we don't seem to hear cat fights at night now so maybe he has hung on to territory around our bungalow!

I bet James is wishing he hadn't got his bad throat for driving down to Jess's. At least he knows the way though so that always helps.

Jane

Jane Report 2 Nov 2015 20:38

It was a fixed price just for 'the service' on the car.Big service this time. But it was all the stuff that needed doing that really bumped up the price :-S There used to be a Volvo Garage here but it closed and now the nearest is Northampton, which is a pain.
At least now James has safe tyres .He is going to have to keep a check on them as one was illegal :-S He has gone now .Chris has gone to bed !! So it is me and Thomas and even he is on his back in dreamland.
I am left with the clearing up of dishes. Not that many as most of them were done.So it will all go in the dishwasher now :-D

Will have a look and see if there is anything worth watching on tv tonight. If not I will get started on a new book :-D

Good Morning Jane & David

It's not foggy here either but overcast and rain was forecasted At least Heathrow should be O.K. for the planes to fly on schedule

Also having my first morning cuppa.

magpie

magpie Report 3 Nov 2015 08:25

Murky here too, but not thick fog. OH is putting Merlin out early, as he and Cas have to be away by 8.45!! They'll be back at lunchtime, then OH will go back this afternoon on his own! This evening we are going out(!!) It's the yearly drinks party organized by the Beaufort Hunt. We only get asked because we let them go across our paddock as a short cut. Also we get our paddock hedge cut both sides, for free!
As you said Jane, it is nice to have the odd day on your own! I usually do jobs and throw things out that would otherwise get queried. OH is so unobservant, that he never notices, but fusses if asked!!!!! ;-)

The taxi I'm on about is the genuine TX.I London cab

They have to change then after 15 years, it's the law,

but during those 15 years they get serviced every 6 months

to a high standard. The driver's foot well is roomier than your average car.

Because my Leg wont bend I just want room for it out of the way.

A well looked after professionals car
