the injured leg is the left one
Consequently looking for an automatic with lots of leg room
that's how I came across used TX.1 cabs
2.7 Nissan engine, auto gearbox
Any chance of Mobility car ceases at age 65
Daft that because the older you get the more likely you might need one.

Morning all
Sorry I haven't been on here for a while, I've got an inner ear infection which has made me very dizzy and sick for days, it started half way to the party. We were only there for about half an hour and I collapsed, my OH and his brother had to carry me to the car as I couldn't stand so a very disappointing evening all round. I was so bad on the Sunday that I had to call the emergency doctor out, he said it was my ear and I also had a very high temperature. I feel awful and have a really bad headache too.
The surveyor for the boiler is coming this afternoon, luckily OH is off work so he'll have to speak with him.
I have read the posts but can't remember them all, sorry.
I'm glad you got the card off Sandra, she put some of her stickers on it to show you what she has here, Mel.
Good luck to Cass on her first shoot Liz.
I hope you manage to sort a car out for yourself David.
We've had fog here for days but it seems to be less foggy today.
Sorry this is so short, I will try and get back on as soon as I can and sorry for not commenting on some of the posts, I really can't remember everything I've read. I wanted to let you all know why I hadn't been on here so you didn't worry, OH has started with a sore throat so I hope he's not going to be as ill as I am.
I'll keep my laptop on and try and come back later, I'm going to have a lay down now <3

It seemed easier packing everything up for the move than unpacking and trying to find homes for everything..Some big mirrors we gave to the charity shop with some bric. Alan has been a few times to the tip with loads of cupboard boxes etc..
While we were in my daughters I did a lot of gardening for her Pruning trees and getting rid of brambles so we have a large bag which had sand in to get rid of sometime We don't have a bin for garden rubbish here like I did at home THe black bin gets emptied fortnightly back home it was every week may have to get bigger one

I'll let Sandra know when she gets back from the library Mel. The doctor gave me a prescription, but on Sunday we had a lot of paper to put in the recycling bin and I think it got caught up with that as I can't find it anywhere. The recycling bin went out on Sunday night for collection on Monday so if it's been put in there by mistake it's gone now. If I don't feel any better tomorrow I'll go back to the doctors and get some more, if they give it to me with already giving me a prescription. I was all over the place on Sunday so can't really remember much. Sandra's just come in so I've told her and she's pleased you like the smiley face. I've taken an Alker Seltzer and had something to eat, which has made me feel a little better, so I'm going to get dressed now, ready for the surveyor turning up.

Morning to all around the Country and afternoon to all the others,
Started off and still have my sneezes, 20 so far and I know there are more to come. My eyes are watering as is my nose :-D :-D :-D
The taxi sounds a great idea David, plenty of room to put your left leg. Being automatic you won't need to use that leg. Have to managed to arrange a test drive in one yet?? It might be a good idea to do so. You will then know it's right for your needs.
I remember the old London Taxi's (JO BAXI) as we called them. They had a platform on the front left side for the luggage to be strapped in. I'm not sure when they did away with that idea.
Good luck to Cassie this morning. I am sure she will behave herself, and be glad of a rest this afternoon. Bless her <3 <3
Jane, I didn't know Bells had packed up in Kettering. Wouldn't it be a lot cheaper for James/Chris to take the car to a small independent garage where the hourly rate for labour would be so much cheaper. ??? They would still use Volvo parts etc.
Gill how unfortunate for you to be taken ill like that. An ear infection like that would make you loose your balance. Hope it soon improves. Are you using drops for it ??
Weather isn't much to write home about. Very still and not cold, but no sign of better weather later. I think we are all stuck with what we have got today.
Ros has made a leek pie for tonight, and done the potato's, so I am out of work today. Any one need any cleaning or cooking doing ?? I'M FREE !!!
I didn't see that free Turkey offer. I would have grabbed that as around Christmas I tend to do and early "CHRISTMAS DINNER" for a few friends. I will have to buy one now :-( :-( :-(
Madam will be off any time soon, she is waiting for Carolyn to pick her up. Another day on my own, to do what I want, which won't be a lot.
My back is aching this morning, right across the bottom. feels like I might have twisted it. So rest for me.
Glad you are almost sorted Pat. You will be glad when it's all over. How's those pubs ?? still attracting your custom I assume. ;-) ;-) ;-)
Some bad news around the village. One chap was standing taking a photo of something, and just dropped DEAD. Another was found to have a brain tumour at the front of his brain. They had him in hospital and operated by removing it through his noise. His mate said I WILL POP IN AND SEE YOU, HE SAID DON'T BOTHER I WILL BE HOME SOON. (sorry) Another lad (Michael). His sister who has a small holding, decided to take her husband and Children to LEGO land Windsor for the weekend. Only to find some BASTA##S have broken into her house and ransacked it, looking for valuables.. He now is on the lookout for any information to who might have done this. GAWD help them if he finds out. There won't be anywhere for them to hide from HIM !!!
Enjoy your DONKEY DAY Mel, you should have a cart to bring it all home in :-D :-D :-D

She was dizzy and sick often. It was diagnosed as Labrynitis she's been on Betahistine I think it is for it.

I can remember having to have the duty doctor out on a Sunday evening last winter for OH. He was such a nice chap and gave us some medication to tied us over till we could get to our own GP. I think the duty Dr informs the surgery, so that when you ring, they know what's what. I expect every area has its own way of doing things though. Hope you feel better soon Gill. Cas is back!!! Apparently she had a brilliant time and is now fast asleep!! OH is having his lunch at the farm at the back of us with the other shooters!! so more peace!!!! I've turned out a load of magazines and some other bits and bobs - just left a few so he won't notice - I hope, as the paper bin has just been emptied!!!

Gill sorry to hear you haven't been at all well and on the evening of the party too, how disappointing for you all. I hope you are now on the road to recovery. <3 <3
It was good to hear Cass enjoyed herself today it must be down to all the training you have given her
.Pat it must be a relief to now be settled in to your new home.
I've just been down to the chemist to pick up my prescriptions they do the ordering which means I don't have to go to the surgery first, so only one trip a month.

Bowl of Oxtail Soup and toast for lunch.
Who's the lucky one Fiona. You must be the only one with sunshine. Very murky here still, and it looks like we will get rain later.
Ann, I order our prescriptions on line once a month. Ros goes and collects two days later. Which reminds me I must make an appointment for my monthly injection.
Ros found my nephews Mobile number last night and rang him. It went to answer phone./ She left a curt message along the lines of £thanks for ringing Frank back" that was two weeks ago. She said how annoyed I was that no one had made any contact, and that my brothers phone No. wasn't recognised. To say the least. I STILL HAVEN'T HAD A CALL !!!
We had Fireworks Sunday and Monday evening so I expect that will continue for the rest of the week. Why people have to have them all the time Day after Day I will never know. I always took my children to an organised display. They saw more fireworks than I could afford, and watched them in complete safety. Ros and I loved it when we had Lewis on bonfire night. We would go off all wrapped up for the display, and come home to hot soup and rolls.
I have one of those wheat bags across my back, and Flight stockings on my legs, as they are starting to swell. If things don't improve I will have to make an appointment at the doctors.
One Saturday afternoon Ros was taken ill. I phoned the Emergency Doctor, who said "CAN YOU BRING HER TO DAVENTRY" I won't tell you my reply, but when he turned up half an hour later he had a companion with him. He admitted he was out of order asking me that, and wasn't sure what reception he was going to get, hence his companion !!!! :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 As if I would loose my RAG :-D :-D
Glad Cass enjoyed her first shoot, and that she is having a very deserved rest x
Gill what a silly thing to do, throwing away your prescription.
Back to my book now, see you later.

Thanks David, That might become useful in the future.
Ros was back early from shopping. Carolyn had quite a lot to do but only got as far as B & Q when her speech went all strange. Ros said she was struggling to make a sentence . It turns out that now and again her HEART starts to rush, and she needs to sit and rest for a few minutes. After getting a chair and a first aider, she sat for 10 minutes and they came straight home. I opened the door and Carolyn told me what had happened. I said come in and have a COT. Oh no, she said she has so much to do when she got home !!! I said get home and rest., the work will still be there tomorrow. It won't hurt John to help her and cook dinner tonight. Something he has never ever done. She even has to peel and cut an apple up for him when he wants one. Lazy SOD. :-( :-( :-( :-| :-| :-| She will end up making herself ill.
Madam, has re-stock the freezers even though they don't need it. More meats, chops, ready meals, (in case I need one when she's out) NOT LIKELY. More cake and biscuits (I don't eat them !!)
Where's Madam Rose today, I haven't seen her sign in :-D :-D Not out to the Cinema again ??? or down Fitz's for lunch. How did James take to that massive bill Jane ?? Must have given him a fright.
Is Cassie awake and ready for play now Liz. ??
Gill, I hope you got some medication for your ear. You will continue to feel funny until that is cleared up. We rely greatly on our ears for our balance. So be careful.

Well it is dark now and drizzling.Lucky you Fiona having sun :-D.There hasn't been a peep of it here since Sunday.(or was it Saturday ??).My brain must be foggy :-)
Oh Gill what a shame Saturday was a disaster.I am sorry you have been so poorly.I reckon it had been brewing as you hadn't been feeling great before that had you.Fancy losing your prescription :-SI hope you are soon on the mend again, and also that the chap has been to see the boiler and has agreed it can't be fixed so you will be able to get the grant for a new one.
Liz.You must both be so proud of little Cas :-D.She is going to be a perfect working dog :-D :-D
Frank, you try tellingChris to use a different garage. You might have more luck than me. He has this thing about sticking to the Volvo one for the Volvo and the Skoda one for the Yeti.He is the same when I suggest I take my Renault to a different garage.I know a really good place in town that would be fine for all the cars. But I don't think I will be able to get him to change his ways.
I hope Caroline does rest up a bit after her 'turn ' today..As for peeling and coring an apple for her OH ......well I'm afraid I would be telling him where to stick it :-S :-S Fine if he is incapable of doing something for himself, but I for one don't run around after Chris unless there is a need.He wouldn't like it anyway. At lunch times he gets his lunch and I get mine as we usually have different things. If I do offer to get something or do something his anwer is often "I am quite capable" LOL But that is good as if something happened to me he would be able to cope perfectly. I remember his Mum did everything for his Dad .I never even recall him making a cup of tea(just like Anns MIL and FIL).Then when Chris's Mum passed away his Dad struggled so badly on his own as he was clueless as to how to cook etc.
Frank you said you won't bother with Venison Steaks again.Have you had Venison Casserole? Now that is blooming great.I have a lovely easy recipe if you would like to try that. That is the only way I will eat Venison. This recipe is all done on the top of the cooker in a big pan and cooks away nicely for 2 or 3 hours.I must get some diced Venison and do one. That would make Chris a happy man :-D
I must give Hannah a ring tonight as she is off to York tomorrow for a 2 day Conference and she has to do a presentation.I think she could do without this really especially after just moving at the weekend.
Pat how annoying to be sent 2 wrong cushions. Were all four supposed to be the same? You just wanted everything right to go with your new sofa !It does sound like you are almost straight now.Just in time for Xmas ..Perfect :-D :-D I was just thinking earlier that it is almost 12 months since we had our bedroom gutted and redone. That has gone in a flash !!!!.I think we had that finished just before December. I suppose it is time now to get in the kitchen and start some dinner.

I didn't read all your post properly Frank I posted for the first time today about 7.30 just after David and before Anne :-D You missed me there :-D :-D
The cost of the service yesterday ...well Chris has already told James he would pay for the basic and that will be the last time.James has the rest to stump up.I have suggested he does what we used to do in our early days and set up an account just for the car.We used to put so much in each month to cover any major bills. If he just puts so much in a month he won't need to panic should he get another big bill.I think it is about time he got a decent pay rise now although I'm not sure that will happen. He does enjoy his work but I reckon sometime later next year he will start looking for something else.Jess will have finished her Masters and I imagine that they will want to spread their wings and get away from home :-D :-D About time too I say LOL I don't know if I said but James is going to house sit for a friend at the end of November for a month. His friend and wife and baby are going to New Zealand to visit family.I reckon that James will stay at their house for most of the week and just be here for the odd night.Probably to get a good meal :-D :-D

As you know Jane, you and I are certainly of the same frame of mind on the subject of waiting on husbands!!! My Stepfather was pretty helpless, although he did peel and core an apple for himself!! After my mother died, he did try, even sweeping the floor! It was sad though, as she did everything for him. In this house it's very different, always has been!! OH cooks, clears up, helps with or does the shopping, gets a COT and breakfast every morning and gets his own snacks. As you say Jane if anything happens to me , OH can manage quite well on his own, which is a good thing. If I were your friend Frank, I'd be telling hubby exactly where to go and exactly what to do on arrival!!! When OH was ill, of course that was different, he needed help and looking after, which I gladly gave him. Cas has woken up and looking for another game!!! She'll be lucky!!

The surveyor has gone now he was here for ages and went through everything in great detail. Apparently Sandra does qualify for a grant, but we have to wait now for someone else to come and do an EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) This will determine weather we have to make a small contribution to the grant, but either way it looks like we are getting a new boiler and it should be in by Christmas. The man said today that it could be as quick as 4 weeks, so that's good. Not only has the circuit board broke we also have a small leak as well, so that's why we are getting a new one. It's going to be a slightly bigger and more powerful than the one we've already got, so that's good.
I've just had to ring my mum, she has a button she presses if she needs help and the people just rang me to ask if I'd tried ringing them about mum, which I hadn't, so I rang mum to make sure she is alright. She is, so the people must of dialled the wrong number and got through to me. It was a bit of a shock as last time they rang me mum had to go to hospital.
I'm feeling a little better now, my headache isn't as bad and I don't feel as dizzy either, so I'm going to make an omelette and rice. I'll catch up with the posts later.
