Yes what with the incident and Mel's mystery she is making, our noses are twitching with curiosity.

I'm always frightened of sitting in my car without my keys and it locking me in so I can't get out Mandy. You couldn't open the windows without switching the engine on either.

I just had a chuckle. I was texting a friend back who asked if I wanted taking to the NEC Hobbycraft show with her and her hubby tomorrow afternoon. She'd only just remembered it so I said I'd forgotten it was on too till a friend (our Jane) had mentioned her hubby going to the art area there..............only when I reread it I'd put 'the TART area'. lol. It's a good job I checked. :-0 lol.

I bet Sandra has been loving all the christmas things in the shops.

Did anyone see that lovely Staffy in the paper that was scared of trick and treaters calling and ran off and got on a train! The lady who owned him posted on FB he was missing and a man replied that he'd seen him getting on a train!! She's got him back now. Then there was the little boy whose ginger cat went missing 18 months ago. He's only aged 5 now and they went to collect a new ginger rescue cat from the shelter and the boy recognised their lost cat in the next pen. These was a lovely picture of him in tears at finding their old cat. He then wanted both cats of course, but the new cat didn't get on with others.

Have you got a route sorted out for tomorrow Frank?

Better sort tomorrows beads now. I don't like what I thought I'd use so it's plan B now.

Hi everyone

All this talk about cars, when I used to drive I always travelled with the doors locked and my bag on the floor in front of the passengers seat. I did keep the drivers door unlocked as OH said if there was an accident then either I or someone else would be able to open the door for me to get out.

Have you found out what the police wanted at Fitz yet Jane? I think we are all curious now lol.

Sandra and I had a good day out but I felt a bit dizzy when we first got to the shops. I think it might of been the journey with the car moving around a bit. After a bit of fresh air I soon felt a bit better.

Mum bought me a heater for the hall and a scratch card which I won on, so I treated myself to a pair of jeans. I did offer her my winnings as she was the one who bought the card but she insisted on me having it, which was nice of her.

I also managed to find a CD Sandra wanted for Christmas and a few other things for her, so the presents are almost finished now. I'm so tired as I had to do a bit of washing and hovering when we got back ready for the viewing tomorrow morning. The Agent rang me the other day asking if they could come at 10.30 instead of 11am, so that's half an hour less time to try and make this place warm. The heater will definitely help and I'll pop the oven on again, it worked last time, along with the fire in the living room, so hopefully the bungalow will be warm enough when they get here.

Evening all, Home alone, and had some good programmes on SKY that I like. Ros will catch up on her soaps when I go to bed later.

Yes Ann all sorted for s route, It tends to take you on the main roads, which seem silly. There might well be a quicker way across Country. I will look on the Sat Nav. in the morning. If I follow the main roads it's only 56 miles Just over an hours drive.

They don't want us there till after 12.30 as they are out. I expect we will find a little pub somewhere to stop for lunch and a pint, on the way home.

Come on Jane spill the beans, what's being going on ?????????

Ros has been buying Mince pies for a couple of weeks now. I only have one now and again.

You might like to know that ALDI have Turkey Crowns small £9.95. Medium £11.95 and large £13.95. They are also doing Beef Wellington's for less than a tenner. The offer starts next Thursday 13th November.

I had to smile this afternoon. Ryanair were advertising seats from 15 euros. (I have a euro sign on my keyboard but it's with they 4 or the $ sign. I can't make it come up) Anyway. I looked at flights for next week to Murcia from B'Ham return in two weeks. Over £270.00 return. Some bloody offer that was !!!!

Jane Report 5 Nov 2015 21:13

Just a very quick post now as next door have a big firework party and poor Thomas has his eyes out on stalks and keeps hiding in different places :-(

The 'incident' was apparently Georgette had reversed into a car in the car park. Some member of staff in Aldi reported it. Poor Georgette didn't even know she had done it.There was no marks on her car and she never felt anything. So if there was any damage on the other car ir must have been very minor.
They don't even know if the owner of the car is claiming any damages !!
The chap said because it had been reported it had to be followed up
What might happen...1. done for driving away after an accident
2. points and a fine
3. Nothing
So she still has to wait and see now.

I'm off now .Trying to watch Unforotten and seeing where Thomas is !!!!!!
See you all in the morning x

Annx

Annx Report 5 Nov 2015 21:36

Oh what a shame and a worry for her Jane. It's hard to imagine there would be damage to the other car if it was that slight not to mark her own car. It seems a waste of money and time to follow it up if the other car owner decides it's too minor to claim anything. It does seem rather heavy handed considering what others get away with scotfree. OH getting a trolley scrape all down the side of his car at a supermarket springs to mind!! Now she has it hanging over her head for a while till they decide what to do.

Off to bed now, it's all whizz bangs here now and my friend says one of her cats is not liking it one bit.

Gillx

Gillx Report 5 Nov 2015 22:26

Poor Georgette, what a worry, hope it all turns out okay for her and she doesn't have to wait long to hear back from the police.

Poor Thomas too, I doubt he'll be wanting to go hunting tonight then? At least he's in doors with you Jane. Cricky I've just jumped out of my skin with a massive bang of a firework. It's starting to get a bit late for those really big ones. That's the third time I've really jumped with the noise tonight. Sandra is loving watching all the fireworks and can't wait for tomorrow night as we're off to a firework display in Ellesmere Port, it's for charity, but I can't remember which one :-S :-S

Off to bed now, I have to be up early in the morning, to try and warm this place up, before the viewing.

See you all tomorrow
Night Night

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 6 Nov 2015 09:56

Morning all and evening Kim,

Today's the day!!

Dull and dreary again today so no change there then. I suppose it is going to be like this for the rest of the winter now. We shall all be suffering from SAD.

Don't know if we are going out today for lunch or not but if not I shall have to go and get some flowers for the church. It's a bit awkward as the funeral for the girl who died is on Wednesday. What colour do you think I should get? This girl was only 30.

We did'nt have one bang last night, we had a few at the weekend but a long way away. We may get some this weekend depending on who stays in the big house. They are not supposed to let off fireworks at the big house as it frightens her horses etc. but people do and once you have set it alight you can't stop it can you?

Frank

Frank Report 6 Nov 2015 10:50

Filthy Good morning, Hi to Kim,

What a morning for a drive in the Country. ?? That horrible drizzle where you don't really need the wipers, but if you do they screech on the screen. :-P :-P

Funny old night again last night. Stayed up until 12.30 thinking I would sleep right through. WRONG. awake at 4.00, got out as you do, and got tucked down again. Still laying clock watching at 7.00. Then I heard Ros asking me if "I WOULD LIKE SOME ICE CREAM" :-D :-D. That was 8.20. Next thing it was 9.25. So I got up.

Gill don't make it too warm for you viewing, as it's not cold here this morning. You don't want them to feel too warm :-D :-D :-D

Why on earth did that assistant report that incident. It happens all the time in car parks. !!! If someone had ploughed into a car and did a lot of damage then YES report it. Some people can't keep their noises out of anything.

We have "Passion Flowers" blooming on the arch to the lawn. Brightens the place up a bit.

Enjoy your trip to Dover Pat. and stay away from all those pubs ;-) ;-) ;-)

How did Chris get on yesterday Jane,?? did he buy loads of painting things ??

Am I right that it's your OH Birthday today Mel. if so HAPPY BIRTHDSAY to him. and I suppose this is why you are going out to lunch. ENJOY IT !!!

Well must get going, we are leaving at 11.30 ish.

Been busy outside this morning, when it stopped raining! I've been continuing the leaf removal! Cut the edges of the lawn, dead headed the roses and tied up some wind swept plants and generally had a clear up. It's so warm here it's nice to be outside.
This afternoon we are going to Waitrose, and then to Oxfam to offload some of OH's trousers, plus a suit!! Sadly in good condition but too small!! Then we're going to a chap in the town who sells 'best' trousers, to buy OH a new pair, so he'll be smart (?!!) for Xmas!!!!!

Afternoon all,

Another wet one here but it's not at all cold out side .

Happy Birthday to OH Mel i hope he's enjoying his day and you managed to get out for some lunch.
I suppose most of the flowers available are autumn colors now which should look nice ,poor girl thirty is no age .

Son's birthday today he is 38 we have been to theirs this morning and he has had his presents ,one top i bought is to small so that has to go back.

Well it must have been a very small touch of the other car as i think you would know if you had hit another car or not , fingers crossed it won't come to any thing .

So now we know what the incident was we just need to know what Mel's making now !!

Nice photo's of Pats new place ,thanks Jane for passing them on , i like the pale green kettle, toaster and microwave, every where looks nice and fresh and clean Pat , your all settled in and ready for christmas .
Hope the traffic isn't to bad for your trip to Dover .

Hope the viewing has gone ok Gill, it does seem milder here so hopefully it is where you are and you haven't had to warm the place up as much .

Hope you find your way ok today Frank and the mower is just what you wanted ,it will be nice for you to have a little trip out it will be a nice change for you and having lunch out will save you cooking tonight .

There's always some thing to be done in the garden Liz , we cut all the old runners down yesterday ,saved some of the old beans that didn't get picked for seed and also found a few more hidden that we can eat over the weekend .
Was Cas very worn out after her first shoot ? i bet she loved it .

Hello Everyone

It's very miserable here with lots of fine rain but warm.

I hope Mel's OH has a good birthday.

Pat I hope you have a good journey to Dover does your trip involve the M25 ?
We have to go that way when we visit relatives in Hastings and Ashford. One of my many nephews in law works as a tour guide in Dover Castle where my FIL was stationed during the war.

I have been watching the remembrance programmes on BBC1 . Peter's granddad was on the front line in WW1 and told the family he had seen the Angels of Mons
he was injured and suffered from shell shock

I have a cat trying to sit on my keyboard so bye for now in case he wipes out this post.

Afternoon All

Happy Birthday to Mels OH and Mandy's son today <3

Pat your new home looks smashing .You certainly got it looking nice and homely very quickly.

Mel I always think white flowers and greenery look lovely .Maybe they would be nice for the church .

Hope Frank and Ros have found there way today and that there wasn't too much water on the roads .

Gill how has this viewing gone today? Hopefully as it is so mild you shouldn't have had to warm the place up too much.It doesn't seem right that it is so warm for the beginning of November

Poor Thomas last night .My next door neighbours (it was all adults) had loads of fireworks.Lots of bangs!!!.I opened the back door to call him in and he flew in like a rocket and up the stairs.I got him back down again but then when we went up t o bed I couldn't find him.Found him huddled under my bed :-( :-(.He has been a bit quiet and close to home today...Chris says he has seen him eat 2 mice this afternoon !!!! :-S

Our friend in Washington D C (Mark,,Rachel's Brother) and his wife Kate have had a little girl :-D..Their first baby. They have named her Freya(I love that name). So i have been out today and bought a lovely outfit and little toy .It is all wrapped and packaged now so will get it in the post tomorrow morning.

Mel did that book arrive today?

James has come home early from work as he is still not feeling too good.I picked Jess up from the station at 3.To be honest I think she would have been more sensible to have stayed away this weekend as she is just getting over a nasty cold and cough so she doesn't need to get reinfected again from James :-S

I'm parched.Time for a cuppa :-D

I awoke this morning my chest and back sweating, I was wearing a cotton tee shirt which I removed. I looked at my wrist watch, I thought it said 6AM I put the light on.
It was in fact 12.30AM The cause of the heat was due to the central having been turned high yesterday and not turned down again or off at bed time. Took a while to get back to sleep. Things on my mind. I have a teas made upstairs. Think I will set it up so I can have a cuppa when I want without disturbing Ellen.
Only 4.30PM here and it's almost dark.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MR MEL :-D :-D :-D :-D
Hope he's had a nice day. Did you make it to lunch in the end Mel?

Did you post twice or did your cat help you Anne LOL. Cat's are so adorable aren't they and get into all sorts.

Thanks for passing on the photo's of Pat's new place, it looks lovely and cosy. I bet your glad you got in before Christmas Pat? You've got the kitchen I'd like.

Have you got your lawn mower yet Frank? I don't suppose you've been able to use it with all the rain around though.

Safe journey to Dover Pat, hope you have a lovely time with your son.

It's not to cold here today, so it didn't take much to warm the bungalow up. The lady said she likes the place but needs a few days to think about it. I'm sure the Agent will ring her tomorrow for her feedback and then let me know what's going on.

I nipped to mum's straight after the viewing and had a shower then came back and done a load of washing and put dinner on. This is the first sit down I've had all day.

I'm just having a chat with Michelle online, we've hardly spoken since she went back in September, although I'm more listening rather than talking as she has so much to tell me LOL

Jane Report 6 Nov 2015 16:53

That sounds a good idea David. The same thing happened here the other week with our heating.I was the only one to wake up all hot and sweaty though.James and Chris were not affected by it.We had a teasmaid years and years ago and had it set to make the tea for when we woke in the morning. But I don't think we used it for very long.Cups too small and it never seemed to stay nice and hot.Gone are the days when we had tea out of tea cups. It's big mugs these days :-D

Totally dark outside now and I think raining again.
After all this trouble in Sharm el Sheikh I am wondering if my Sisters son and young William will be going on their holiday in the first week of December !!!I know Michel is so looking forward to taking William on a plane for the first time.I feel so sorry for everyone stuck out there at the moment and those whose holidays are now cancelled.
It all looks a right mess.

Not sure what is on the menu tonight here.I think Chris has one of his 'Healthy' meals in the fridge and veg that he got.James and Jess might have Duck Breasts in Plum Sauce.(I don't do Duck). So I might have Eggs and Oven Chips. We will see.

Anne Report 6 Nov 2015 17:05

Gill It was Timmy's fault I posted twice but I deleted one of them just about the same time as you posted in case anyone else can't make sense of your comment.

Jane ,Freya is a lovely name, the artistic director's P.A. had that name and she was so nice.
I also thought white flowers would be good unless she had a favourite flower or colour.

We didn't have many fireworks last night due to the heavy rain, there were some in the distance which terrified Toby but the other two didn't seem that bothered but it was a long way off.

I hope Frank & Ros had a good journey and the mower was what they wanted. Friday isn't a good day to travel in some areas, Bracknell being one of them being close to 3 motorways all heading for London. M3, M4 & M25 :-( :-(
