Yes OH is very handy Jane and we've rarely had to have a repair man for any broken nmachinery. household, or outside. OH used to service the car himself years ago, changing brake pads etc, and, many moons ago even replacing an engine in a landrover that we had at the time!! Our son is the same and there isn't much that he can't tackle on the repair front!! The rain is really heaving down at the moment. We have just had that curry and it was delicious. OH is an excellent cook too!

My wife Ellen had a rare attack of her labrinitis at lunch time. It's scarey when you feel vulnerable because of immobility due to injury.
All I could do was to make her take one of the tablets that ordinarily contain it and make her rest easy until it passed. She has a doctors appointment on Monday. A neighbour is taking her and bringing her back. Just in case she stubbornly or carelessly neglects to mention it I shall phone the Doctor so that they are aware..

David, I hope Ellen is feeling better now, it is frightening when someone close to you has a dizzy attack you did the right thing by getting her to sit down and relax. My boss used to have this occasionally and always had his tablets with him at work in case.

What perfume do you like Jane? I like Anais Anais, or Taboo,. I usually wear a body spray for every day, but not ear rings! I used to wear them many moons ago, but I've never ever had my ears pieced, so now I don't wear them at all. Just my gold.chain which I wear most days with or without an ornament. We're in bed.watching Ben Fogle which we recorded. Then Dad's Army, then sleep.

Morning all
Really windy here and very cold, it looks like it might rain too
Hope Ellen is feeling a bit better today David. Good idea to let the doctor know what's happened.
That's handy Liz, having a husband who can do things around the place, my OH is quite handy, but not as good as yours, by the sounds of it.
Sandra is looking forward to the parcel arriving Mel and is wondering what her present is ;-) She's ask me to say thank you <3 We have two Christmas cards now as Sandra got one off her friend.
Going to finish decorating the Christmas tree, then run a hot bath, it's so nice to be able to do that now ;-) <3 then of course they'll be all the clothes to wash and I need to change the bedding too. The last F1 race is on this afternoon so I'll be watching that, then no doubt Sandra will want to watch strictly and the X Factor we recorded last night, so quite a busy day :-) :-) What's everyone else up to today?

Good morning everyone
Still wet and very windy here again. I have just finished doing the vegetables for Sunday roast, as usual Paul and the girls will be arriving soon, Richard isn't up yet , nothing different there.
I'm like Mel I can't use perfume as it brings me out in a rash the same with most toiletries, it's only Dove or Simple brands that I'm 100% sure of. Do any of you remember Evening in Paris and Californian Poppy?
I hope Ellen is feeling better now David.

Morning Friends, and our Kimmy, Good afternoon,
Not a good night again, my brain just wouldn't settle down (it proves I have one) lol Was up by 7.00 for my COT. Ros came out about 9.15 I sat with the paper for about an hour. Then did the veg for dinner and cut into the skin on the pork and salted it. I hope to get a nice piece of crackling off it ;-) ;-) ;-) All I have to do now is Yorkshire Pudding and CHEESE SAUCE.
I trust Ellen is feeling a bit better this morning David.
Anne, and Mel, I am sure you smell a sweet as a "SUMMER ROSE" with out perfume <3 <3 <3 Not saying the rest of my girls smell any worse LOL
I'm off to the PUB for 2.00 pm My West Ham are playing West Brom. and it's on SKY SPORTS TWO. I will be back in plenty of time to cook dinner which we will hav about 6.00 pm.
Not a special morning here, rain first thing, now very cloudy. So Ros will take and collect me from the pub
My Injection on Friday is still very sore, she penetrated the mussel in the top of my BUM, and boy is it still painful, will have words with her next time I see her. :-( :-( :-(

Anne I loved Evening in Paris and when mum had finished with it I would get the blue bottle. I had a round one once with a glass stoppeer. At school a few of us girls would take our perfume bottles and fill them with water and put daisies in them during lunch or playtime. We all had little shoulder bags which we kept the bottles in. Once I filled my lovely round bottle to the very top and popped the stopper in and it never came out again!! I was so disappointed. Dad tried everything he knew to get it out but as far as I remember it never did. I never ever found another like it only the usual blue bottle with the pointed silver top and the little triangular silver label at the corner of the bottle.
I can't use cleaning products because of their smell and have to stick to the lemon scented ones. Polish is another thing as Ican only use old fashioned polish in a tin Antique Wax is what I use. Same with soap powder only Fairy or Bold lavender and only Lavender softner from Morrisons.

Afternoon Everyone Oh what a windy day.it seems to be getting worse here now :-S.I think I can see spots of rainon the window too .
Liz my favourite perfumes are Coco Channel and Chanel No 5.Over the years I have had many different ones.Eternity used to be a big favourite. Mum had Evening in Paris when I was little.I remember my Sister throwing some of it my eyes :-S :-S :-S..She must have been about 4 or 5 then and still remembers doing that.I screamed the house down. Janice wears a perfume that I find affects my throat and makes my face hot.I think it is Angel. She does have a different one now (the same make ) but I can cope with this one .It is Alien. I do love a man to smell nice too.One of my all time favourite Aftershaves is Au Sauvage.I could SWOON if I smelled that lol
I am sat here with all my Xmas cards in front of me .I have still only done 6.I need t knuckle down and get them written.I will do the ones for overseas today and get them off this week.
Thomas had me up at 3.30 this morning :-S :-S..Most unusual to be so early these days.He was back in at 8 and has slept since then .So I have just turfed him out.He is not impressed and has probably snuck in the Summerhouse.
Hannah is at her friends little boys birthday party. He is 3 .Then she will be back about 3 for Chris to take her into Northampton to get the train back to London. Jess will get her train from here just before 7 this evening.
I went to Aldi this morning to get Chris some bottles of red wine.Recommended by Fitz.Chris had a bottle with James yesterday and said it was really nice ...It is only £3.99 a bottle !!!!!!.So I got 6. I expect Frank is down the pub now having a couple of pints and enjoying the Football.
It is so dark !!!!I feels like early evening. The fire is lit even though it is not really cold.It just cheers the place up :-) The Boiler man will be here in the morning.I don't know what time though. The water is still dripping away into a bucket :-S
Have you got the decs on the tree yet Gill?..I passed a house this morning with all the outside done up with lights ,Snowmen ,Reindeer etc. That is the first one I have seen so far.I'm sure there will be more somewhere. Had to queue to get out of Tesco car park earlier. It was so busy. All this Black Friday business .
Ann I forgot to say that I hope FIL hasn't had any more bad falls and that his head wound has healed from that nasty fall he had.I am sure there will be plenty more though :-S.It is so good that he has settled so well at the home.Your lives must be so much easier now.In fact you have your lives back.
I see on Facebook that Kim's little Grandaughter will be 1 on Tuesday !!!!!! It just seems like yesterday that Sophie was born.

It's blowing a gale here now. The Silver Birch still have some leaves left on but it is the pine trees that are a bit of a worry although they are the other side of the path that runs a long the back of the houses they are very tall. A lot of moss has fallen off the roof onto the conservatory, hopefully no tiles will come down with it.
All three cats are in, Timmy and Shadow are fast a sleep but Toby can't seem to settle I think it's the wind.
I cooked lamb today and nothing was left over, Last week when we had pork, for the last few minutes I put the grill on in the oven and it helped make the crackling really crunchy.
Jane what was the red wine called from Aldi as I would like to get some when I'm down there next. When Colin visits we do get through a lot more than usual, he's just got back from Barcelona it must have been one of his friend Jeff's tours, who relies mostly on past customers or word of mouth for the bookings.

Anne .The wine is called ANDARA.It is a Chilean Merlot.£3.99..I have just noticed Chris has one bottle warming lol
Tried to put Thomas out 3 times now and each time I open the back door he has been in like a rocket. He looks a real grump :-S.I am going to try again now as I think it might just have stopped raining. It is the wind though :-S.I might just leave the back door open for a bit (the wind isn't blowing in that way) and see if he just wanders out.Fingers crossed he does :-D

Winds still blowing a gale here. One of my chickens got blown up the run when I went to corn them. She was ok whilst at the side f the house but when she went to go round the front to go in the wind blew her backwards. I sdid laugh but found it hard to walk against the wind myself.
Washed my hair after I shut them in tonight and the bantams hav'nt been out on the gras for about three days now. They don't like the wind at all.
The two deer spent a lot of the afternoon behind the box hedge in the orchard out of the worst of the wind.
