Jane hav'nt you got some Migralieve you can take when you get these fuzzy spots. If not any pain killer should help.

When I used to get them I would lay on the bed with my head hanging over the side to the floor. That always helped me. Later on I used to go numb on certain parts of the body like one or two fingers on one hand. Things also used to sound far away like you were in a dream.

Afternoon All,

Another drismal day here. We had to go to the solicitors 15 miles away again today. We couldn't make head nor tail of a document they wanted us to sign to do with the house. When we got there it turned out they'd done the document wrong with our names mixed up and put in the wrong places! While we waited they redid it, but when OH checked it they'd still got 2 things wrong! :-S It was to do with transferring the title deeds, which should have been done when probate was applied for and which they'd also overlooked at the time! The house now belongs to OH and his dad, but because OH is the POA for his dad, he can't sign for his own share as well as sign for his dad's share as it wouldn't be legal, so I as an executor have to also sign for half of OH's share till the house is sold. He'd better be nice to me now hadn't he? lol. I just hope this delay getting this done (up to eight weeks) doesn't affect the sale. :-S

Mel, my parcel arrived today too and the neighbour took it in. Thank you so much and what a lovely idea and so effective and nicely made too. :-D :-D

I've emailed the Doctor from the study to see if he can get some of the photos that were taken of me and the other lady on Friday and he seems to think so and is going to ask and get them sent to him or me. He sounded very pleased with how things went on Friday.

I've been checking a few things out like insurance quotes and best deals for the car I want to get. I was going to leave things till next summer, but I found out on Saturday that they have discontinued making the car I now want and only those in stock are the ones left!! :-0 I've found the model I want and in the white colour I want at Burton-on-Trent, so will be driving there after my hair appointment to have a test drive and see it tomorrow. I'll be going on my own, not that I mind that, as OH has a meeting, but I don't know Burton-on Trent at all, so finding my way should be interesting as will driving a bigger, strange car on roads I don't know!! :-0 :-S The only thing I don't like about it is that it has a puncture repair kit rather than a spare wheel of any sort, but I may buy a cheap wheel and tyre as a spare myself. I can hear it raining outside now and just after I got my current car washed as well. :-S

It's really bedlam in the close today as the builder has had people here pulling out tree stumps on the garden land he is building on. Also the cable people have been laying cables both sides of the close with barriers up and their vehicles. When I went out they had to shift barriers back, move tools then shift their lorry for me to get out!

Good luck for tomorrow's viewing Gill, it would be the icing on the cake if it leads to a sale. It will help them love your place now you have some christmas decs about the place and your tree lit.

I hope you feel a bit better now Frank. It was sensible to leave things till you do. I must make a start on some cards myself too.

I quite liked LK many years ago, but her prog all seems about celebs nowadays which I find a bit boring.

On the perfume front, I like Burberry Body, Fidji and Chanel no 5 now, but as a teenager I liked L'aimant. I have a small squirt or dab most days and when it's hot I like a dab of Eau de Cologne. :-) I used to like the Denim aftershave that OH wore (it's not available now) and will sometimes nick a bit of his L'Homme de Nuit for myself as that has a nice fresh cologne smell!!. My dad always wore Old Spice that I wasn't keen on. I wasn't fond of the Charlie that some work colleagues wore either.

Annx Report 30 Nov 2015 18:22

Didn't see you there Jane. OH used to get headaches with a migraine many years ago, but doesn't get the headache anymore, but, as you know, gets the zigzag flashes and numbness. Once he had double vision and thought he was losing his sight and I rushed him to the Hospital, but after all kinds of tests they said it was migraine. He gets balance problems that just come out of the blue and make him lurch for a few seconds or almost fall off a seat if he is sitting and at times he gets a feeling of pressure above his head, or buzzing in his ears. We now suspect these are all to do with migraines. As you say, once you have experienced a symptom before it is not nice but is less scary. OH usually lies down in a darkened room for up to an hour by which time it has usually gone.

I knew once I got on the pooter I wouldn't be abel to turn it off again LOL
Ann I hope there is not going to be any holds ups with the sale of the house. It sounds a bit of a cock up to me :-S..Did the Estate agent ever find the keys?

I haven't told Chris yet but I have noticed at times I sometimes find myself veering off to one side or just feel like I have a bit of loss of balance. He did say just now that it is unusual for someone of my age to start with the Ocular Migraines and I should go and get checked out. :-S

Hope tomorrows viewing goes well Gill :-)....I can just picture Sandra all excited now with all the Christmas things around her :-D :-D.
I have written 40 Xmas cards now.Chris keeps saying it is too early lol. I still have a load to do .

Frank are you feeling less grumpy now and in a better frame of mind?I would have thought the way you were feeling this morning the last thing you wanted to do was to get all the Christmas boxes out.
I am not keen on L .K these days. She always seems too giggly and and a bit gushy to me .I haven't watched ITV Breakfast programme for years now.I much prefer BBC.(I sound like my MUM :-)

The boiler is fine now.It wasn't the toothless wonder that came this morning. It was a lovely young man who has been here before. He just got on with the job and had a cup of tea while he was working.I'm glad I made sure I had a quick clean around to loo and sink in the main bathroom as he did ask to use the toilet.

Chris never did get to Northampton tonight. It must have been a pretty bad accident as the A 43 was shut between Broughton and the Sywell turn off.(FRANK WILL KNOW WHERE I MEAN)

Anne

Anne Report 30 Nov 2015 21:34

Jane, I get the zig zag migraine too, usually if I've been on the computer too long, as Mel said migralieve is good and I always take them at the onset of it. It is best to do as Chris says and pay a visit to your doctor though just to put your mind at rest.

Gill good luck with the viewing tomorrow, if you do move you will miss your Mum and sister as they live so near to you now and they will miss you too.

I hope you are feeling better now Frank, I find I forget as I get older I can't do so much during the day as I used too. Some days are better than others, but I make sure Amy always gets her walk and Richard and I always have a good evening meal.

All the cats are in but because I have a cat flap in the kitchen door they come and go as they please, they do stay mostly in the garden or on the back path.

I am pleased you girls liked your Christmas Pudding pom poms. Sandra had a pom pom snowman and little Lacey who was doing hedgehogs at school got a pom pom hedgehog. So now you all know what I was making and I still hav'nt found my one so have to make another now.

What I will ask is if Mandy can take a pic of them for me as I forgot to take one and I would like to see the hog again. Thanks.

I still don't know what L K is????????? :-(

I still don't know who she is or what she does but thanks for telling me Anne. If she is on in the mornings I never have the telly on then so would'nt know who she was.

O I just looked her up. Now I know who she is.

Gillx Report 30 Nov 2015 23:28

I thought you might like to know Ann that you can still buy Denim aftershave. I got some for my OH last year and bought it from B&M. I think Boots do it to and I've seen it on Amazon and Ebay as well.

When we had our deeds changed last year it took about six weeks, but that was because Michelle was a bit slow signing her forms, otherwise it probably would of only taken four weeks. Hopefully, even with Christmas, it shouldn't take to long to sort out Ann so shouldn't delay the sale for to long. I'm sure if the buyers really want the house, they won't mind waiting a little while.

We've decided to stay around here for a bit longer Anne as my mum might need a stent in her heart, so moving to Devon will have to wait for now, until I know what's happening with mum. We would like to move down there, but I wouldn't like being so far away from mum if she needs an operation.

Pleased to hear your boiler is sorted now Jane. Hope you are feeling a little better, you should go and see a doctor though, just to put your mind at rest, if nothing else.

How are you feeling now Frank......better I hope? :-)

I still haven't written my cards yet, I'm hoping to get them done tomorrow after the viewing. So far I have a free afternoon, so if it stays that way I'll have the time to get them done. I've been so busy the last two days, that I haven't had the time to do them yet.

Off to bed now, I'm hoping I get a decent nights sleep tonight, as I've had three bad nights on the run now and it's making me feel very tired during the day.
Night Night see you all tomorrow <3

Good morning all. Jane I hope you're feeling much better today, see your GP and too much stress won't help. Hope Mel's pain stays away, you're working too hard.
Hoping Gill got a good nights sleep, also both Anns and Fiona, not forgetting Frank.
I've been lying awake since 4am. Must nap too much during the day :-D

Jane Report 1 Dec 2015 06:27

Morning David
You will be falling asleep over your breakfast if you have been awake since 4 ! also woke around then but nodded off again until 5.50 when Thomas arrived.I have made myself a cuppa and have brought it upstairs to Hannanhs bed.I didn't want to wake Chris up.The other morning when I brought tea back to our bed I managed to spill it all over my bedside drawers(because I didn't put the light on). What a mess !!!!!
I wasn't going to risk the same again now lol

I have just heard my next door neighbour go off to work.it is still so dark out there and I think a little drizzly. So i am staying put for now :-D :-D

David Report 1 Dec 2015 06:44

Good for you Jane and the others.. A cup of slopped tea's nothing to fret about. I was thinking of you when I awoke, You must see your Doctor even if the symptoms have passed. Might be HBP or any number of things. A correct diagnosis is important.
I'm surprised your OH cannot diagnose and prescribe as necessary. Many Doctors continue to work part time after retiring.

I received a letter from my GP a few days ago. For the first time in my life it worries me. It may be a revision of medications or my leg I dunno.
What I am aware of is my unsuccessful claim against the NHS Trust and she will be looking at me through a very different pair of eyes . :-0

David

David Report 1 Dec 2015 07:32

Ellen was at the Doctors yesterday. Doctors yesterday. She her off 2 BP medications as 1 was making her sick and the other was making her tired.
She was prescribed another medication to replace both. She asked her Doctor are there any side effects? Doctor said none I'm aware of. When she came home with the prescription she says to me look that up on your computer for known side effects..
So I enters the drug name, side effects and instantly got 2 whole pages of effects, some very serious. There appeared far more risk than any benefit :-\ :-S

Jane

Jane Report 1 Dec 2015 07:38

David you had a very valid reason for trying to make that claim.I believe that the important information about that bit of metal left in your leg was deliberatley left out of your notes.I'm sure your GP will not think any less of you for making the claim.
Chris no longer prescribes David. He is finished with Doctoring .When he retired his prescription pad had to be handed in.

I think I am ready for another Cuppa
. :-D

David

David Report 1 Dec 2015 08:29

What I think on the subject seems rather insignificant now Jane.
Amputation was considered as plan B 2 years and 8 months ago. People have survived worse I'm sure. Thing is I was offered and replacement knee then told NO MORE SURGERY that's a slap. Guess I'm fortunate to have survived so many anesthetics and surgical operations, but I would have liked a functioning knee, my own or an artificial one or a prosthetic lower limb. How' it has worked out is rather different. The consultant orthopaedic surgeon is hardly to suddenly remember the metal he flushed out in a biopsy. If there was nothing there to flush out what was the biopsy all about? Does signing consent forms absolve them from just about anything?
Seems that way at times from my perspective or my judgement is impaired :-S

Morning all and evening Kim,

Gosh you two have been nattering away this morning.

Pinch and a punch and all that and only 24 days to Christmas day.

Donkey day today and I have to go up the docs and get our scripts for a statin that our docs can't get at the mo and hope to drop it into Boots in Bideford to see if they can get it.
