Jane Report 7 Dec 2015 19:34

Evening All
I have just got home from the cinema with Fitz and am now just starting dinner.it is just Bacon, eggs, tomatoes ,mushrooms and chips.(I said to Chris HE should have had it done and ready). But his answer was he has been busy wrapping presents.Any excuse :-S

So you are pleased with the new car then Ann :-D..You will soon forget the old one now.I'm sure it will go to a nice home :-)..There is something good about the smell of a new car.You keep a hold of those keys and don't let Gordon get his sticky mitts on them LOL

Poor old you Frank. It sounded like you were right flummoxed this morning what with the soup ,the phone and the doorbell !!!!!!..

I went with James this afternoon to get the Christmas tree :-D :-D.I had been to the garen centre already this morning and spotted some nice Nordman trees(coud be Noble) will check the label iin the morning.Anyway it was fairly quiet there today so i thoufht it was a good opportunity to go back and get the tree.It is sitting in a bucket of water outside now.Heaven knows when it will get put up though..I also got the yearly Poinsettia .it isn't Christmas without one of those.

Gill that is great that OH will have Christmas Eve and Christmas Day off. They better not call him in now for duty then.
How sad that the gentleman had absolutley nothing of his own. That was a lovely gesture of youurs to make up a gift package for him.It is so awful to think that some people have no-one at all in their life. Its just too sad :-(.There must be so many people like him and we just don't realise.

Mel good luck tomorrow at he Dentist.Did you say you were hoping to get the new plate in before Xmas? (I can't remember)

Frank I think the pub was called the Sixmiths Tavern ,or something like that.It was quite a fire !!!!!

I am sorry if I have missed anyone out but I must crack on with food now.

Oh Gill I just saw you had an offer on the bungalow. It didn't sound like he was going to budge really on his offer plus the fact he has made an offer on another property.Sounds like you have seen the last of him.In one way I hope you don't get any offers now until after Christmas as it will just make you stressed and with OH being off for Xmas it would be nice for you to all be nice and chilled and enjoy a couple of days without anything else to think about :-)

Right Kitchen here I come.

I hope your trip to the Dentist is trouble free Mel.
Wishing you years of safe happy motoring Ann. Check the forecourt and
see how much they sell your trade in for.

Thank you to all who gave me their address. With the weather being as is and the state of my legs I cannot safely get out to shops, so
I wish every one of you a Merry Christmas and healthy prosperous 2016 xx

Evening all,

It's been quite a nice day here with a little sun at times .

We have just got back from Katie's birthday tea bless her she was so excited and loved all the things we bought her .

Thank you Jane and Anne your cards arrived in the post today .

Well there will be no stopping you now Ann :-D how many miles have you done today ?
Don't you be going down any of those muddy dead end roads in your nice white car now . :-D

Oh Gill what a shame about the chap and his offer i thought you might have been on the move ,but i think your OH is right you don't want problems later on and it does seem funny that he's putting a offer on the table with out actually seeing your property first.

Oh dear Frank i hate it when things like that happen ,you don't know what to do first do you ?
I bet you are looking forward to having Lewis there for a few days ,has he started having driving lessons ?

We're both worn out tonight ,hubby decided we would get the christmas tree down and put it up ,but thats all we have done at the moment it's standing there with no lights or decorations on !! so we will finish it tomorrow.

Hubby went to the doctors about his knee ,he's been really hobbling about with the pain in it ,the doc thinks it's arthritis and has given him some paracetamol that he can take ,he's already taking Tramadol and he also has to go for an xray.

Annx Report 7 Dec 2015 20:52

Thank you David.....I shan't be looking at the forecourt.......it might depress me to see the mark up!!! I expect with it being 8 years old now it will probably go to auction. OH was told by the man who picked his old car up earlier this year that he would be taking it straight to the auction.

That made me chuckle Mandy!! No, I shan't be going down anywhere like that, well not intentionally anyway, but you know me, I never learn. :-S ;-) I think I've done about 60 miles today, but half would be the trip from Burton. Well I need to get used to it don't I? I think we'll be going to the fav carvery in it tomorrow if it's on and that will be a tester with very narrow lanes with barbed wire at the sides and hardly any verges to speak of. Your poor hubby must find it hard working hobbling about like that with his knee. The pain can get you down. I suppose an xray will show if there's arthritis in it and then they can treat it the best way. <3 HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Katie <3 It's good she liked her presents. I bet when one has a birthday now they all want to blow the candles out!! I still haven't got any Christmas decs up yet Mandy, but must start now the car is sorted. I need to have a good clean up first behind and under things. We need to use some stuff in the freezer to make room too.

Gill, It does sound as if that man didn't really know what he wanted! As Jane says, it would be nice for you to have an uninterrupted Christmas with your hubby this year.

Yes, I'll be hanging on to my keys Jane!! :-) I don't want him bouncing it through mud and potholes to go to footie! :-S

Thank you to William for his card which arrived today. :-) <3

Oh Mandy I forgot it was Katies birthday... :-S..
Happy Birthday Katie <3 <3.It sounded like a great Tea Party :-D

Thanks again to everyone else for the cards...I have all my GR cards together :-D

Anne I was surprised to get a second LOL Hadn't quite realised that first one was for Thomas !!!! :-D :-D :-D ;-)

Dinner done now.I have left Chris to clear everything .I feel I have done my bit.

We are off to the cinema in Northampton tomorrow to see The Lady in the van :-D.I am looking forward to that .

Thomas was sick on the carpet this morning.Just bile and a couple of bits of grass. But the bile has left a stain so I have just sprayed again with carpet cleaner .I hope it comes out as it is right in the middle of the room :-S :-S

Love the new pic David :-D :-D

Good morning from a very wet Berkshire :-| :-| :-|

I hope this doesn't disappear like the yesterday evenings,

Liz, your e-card hasn't arrived yet, I will let you know if it does. Thank you Jane for yours.

Good luck with the dentist Mel, I don't expect you will be eating much later.

I finally posted all my Christmas cards yesterday and 3 birthday cards, I still have 3 more birthdays later on this month, today would have been my M.I.L. birthday but she would have been about 106, she died 10 year ago so was a good age.

Ann it sounds like your new car is a success, I don't blame you for keeping it to yourself.

Frank, I'm pleased for you that your brother's family have let you know how he is, lifes too short to fall out and keep it up for so long, Peter's family being so large have had the odd fall out now and again but it soon gets forgotten.

I had Chemotherapy 7 years ago after being diagnosed with grade 3 breast cancer which unfortunately had spread to my lymph glands. For me the worst part was the very sore mouth and not being able to eat, I also lost my hair but had such a good wig it didn't bother me that much, I worked all the time I was having treatment which also included radiotherapy. If I hadn't had a mammogram a year after the last one I wouldn't be here today as there were no visible signs. The reason I had another one so quickly was a year earlier I had an op to remove a pre cancerous condition on the other side.

Morning not staying long.

David that is one person I cannot stand on your avatar.

Glad you like the new car Ann and don't let that hubby take it to his footie matches let you be the first one to get it dirty or scratch it. I member I was very sad when my old Rover went but she had done me good service over the years I had her. I still compare this one to the rover she had so much more vcroom than the one I have now.

Gill how pleased you must feel to have your O.H home to enjoy Christmas with,

Paul works at Waitrose main buildings which are located in Bracknell as an electrician so he has to be on call but this year he has off, one of his workmates is a Muslim so doesn't mind doing it. My two granddaughters are staying with me from the Tuesday before Christmas until the Sunday after which I am so pleased about ,Paul will also stay over as there are two spare bedrooms now its no problem, the girls have a double twin bedded room and Paul will have the single one. They will be at their Mums for New Year. Neil will be having his two and his mum staying with them and Sue doesn't want any friction between the young ones.

I'm going to start wrapping presents today, Abbie & Becky have money now as at 13 & 16 they prefer it but I have got them a lot of smaller things so they have something to unwrap, the same with Paul and Richard, Mark, I put money directly
into his bank account. I also buy for the two children next door who are younger.

I must get motivated now and eat some breakfast.

Jane I hope you enjoy the film that is one I will be getting on DVD when it comes out

Just a very quick good morning now as we are off shortly .Chris has a few things to get on the way to Northampton.I am looking forward to the film Anne. It should be a bit of a hoot .
Thank goodness all your Chemo and Radio Therapy worked Anne.I have had 3 good friends who have all had breast cancer .No 4 actually ,and all of them are now completely clear :-D :-D..I went to stay with one of my friends as she lived on her own and felt so ill for a while. Her hair was falling out and she was so sick. But she was a tough old stick and hated relying on friends. Now she is blooming again :-D

It is still so mild I have short sleeves on.I will just pop a cardi on to go out.

Hope you won't feel a thing today Mel when the teeth come out.

See you later

Morning you old "GAS BAGS" (nice ones) !!! Evening Kim,

Yes the monster will be here to take the micky out of me on Thursday. He is such a wind up merchant. Ros ASKED HIM HOW HE GOT ON WITH HIS DRIVING LESSON (that bloody cap lock) He insisted he went down the M 1 at 120 mph in a sports car !! and he's only had three accidents. !!! "I'll brain him before he's much older" ( that's a good old saying) :-D :-D

The new oven let me down last night. I put cold lamb in onions and gravy in the oven for an hour and half, and the onions were hardy cooked.

I think you are right about not accepting the offer Gill. With due respect to the person, What idiot would go making offers on a house without seeing inside. It could be an absolute tip as some are, but I am sure not yours ;-) ;-) ;-)

Another present arrived for Conrad this morning. How he's going to get these things he wants back to Spain I just do now know. They will have to go in the hold. A slow cooker and a blender/cooker. The slow cooker for hot meals that he can put on in the morning before work. The blender cooker for instant hot soups, or cold drinks. Whatever the weather demands. !!!

How's your mouth now Mel, I hope it's not sore. No HOT DRINKS for a while young lady. Do as Uncle Frank tells you. :-D :-D :-| :-| :-|

Anne, I am so pleased your health is GOOD. It must have been a very worrying time going through all that treatment. It will be so nice having the Children over Christmas. Lets hope they behave !!!

Ann, I can just see you and G having a barny when he want's to take your car to the footie. He will make some excuse like "I'm short of petrol" or one of my tyres are a bit flat. Any reason to get behind the wheel. STAND YOUR GROUND. !!

Ros has decided to put the light tree on the front lawn. As the grass is so long I decided to get my "New Mower" out to give it a cut. Not a good idea. The mower is much to heavy for me to handle in tight spaces. So I have done myself no favours. The grass is cut, but I am knackered. As ELVIS would say "I'M SHAKING ALL OVER" Ros has made it quite clear that next year the front lawn will go.. I think the mower might have to go also. I will see how I get on next spring on the back lawn.

Going to have a rest and a coffee.

See you all later.

I,m back. Oh went into Lidl while I was in the dentists and when I came out and rang him he was just coming out of the shop. He got some nice things and I have just compared prices with some things. In Morrisons I think I pay about 69p for one pepper for oh. He got three in a pack in lidl for 79p!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw some lovely pics of my dentist new baby, well I say new she is now 6 and a half months old. She had her on the day before my sons birthday so I shan't forget. It is so lovely to at last have a little girl to buy things for.

Postman has just been must get oh to get it in. Just his firemans mag... how disappointing......................

Anne I am like you will wait for the dvd of The lady in the van. Could'nt tell you the last time I went to the cinema.

Gillx Report 8 Dec 2015 14:11

Afternoon all

Keep off the cigs Mel, you've done so well you don't want to ruin all your hard work. Your OH got some good bargains from Lidl didn't he?

Sorry to hear your OH's knee is playing him up Mandy, hope the painkillers work and he's feeling better soon. Happy birthday to Katie for yesterday. Have you got your tree decorated yet?

So the lawn mower is to heavy for you Frank, that's a shame. Maybe it was because the front lawn is smaller with tighter spaces, it might be better when you cut the back lawn in the Spring.

Hope you enjoyed your film Jane. I've not heard of that one, shall have to Google it lol

Pleased to hear you got through the cancer Anne, good job you had the mammogram when you did. It sounds like you're going to have a house full for Christmas, how lovely. I miss the big get together's I used to go to as a child.

It sounds like you're really enjoying your car Ann. I don't blame you for not wanting to share it just yet.

I've been busy this morning, I managed to find a thin dressing gown (not cotton unfortunately) in a charity shop yesterday, so I've been altering it. There were two big pockets on the front and because the dressing gown is a bit to big for me, when I wrapped it around me one of the pockets ended up right in the middle, at the front. I didn't like the look of that so have taken both pockets off and made one pocket and have inserted it into the side seam so it goes inside the dressing gown instead of on the outside, it looks much better now ;-)

I've hardly seen Sandra so far today, she is busy going through the Christmas magazine I bought yesterday checking what's on TV over Christmas and busily writing down all the things she wants to watch. I don't think I've ever seen her so quiet....bless her.

Well, I'd better get back to my dressing gown, the pocket is pinned in place so I just need to stitch it now. I don't have a sewing machine so all the alterations I do are by hand.

See you all later <3
