Oh no Mandy! You set me off peeking through the blinds here, but it's just fine rain I can see here at the moment. If it is settling on the wet and freezes it could be icy tomorrow. I just looked and we are due another cold day and a frost tomorrow. It's beginning to seem a long winter.

Well I waited till just before 2pm to go to the shop as BIL had'nt come. He did'nt come at all today so I have wasted a day waiting for him . I do hope he is ok.

Thanks Mandy, that made me remember where Ohio came from. :-) We don't have as many roasts now and not always on a Sunday. I can't believe Max will be aged 9 tomorrow!! It doesn't seem long since he was an adorable puppy. How fast time seems to go by.

I bet George was pleased to get the school he wanted. Some parents appeal when they don't get the choice they want and OH sits on some of the panels that then decide. In my day I had a choice of 5 city grammar schools. Mum wanted me to go to the 'best' one that was a short walk away from where we lived. She seemed impressed by the velvet winter cloche hats and summer straw boaters they wore, but I thought it too posh and was quite relieved to get her second choice.

We popped to the shop this morning for a few bits and a paper and are back in the warm for the day now. OH is eating more and settled in front of a footie match on tv, so I'm stopping here for the duration and keeping the shredder company first before finishing the food order.

Looks like we have the same weather Mel altthough only 5 degrees here.

I have done a load of washing emptied the over full airing cupboard and had a late breakfast, and also done a bit of Gardening interests group admin. washing is in the drier now.

Em's just texted me to say that her son George has got a scholarship for Kingsley School which is the one he wanted.

Morning all, Dull dreadful and raining. When I woke it was quite bright but by the time I rose it was dull I only had a tiny lie in this morning as BIL may come today as he did'nt yesterday. I do wish he would let me know as I can't getr on with things when I think he may call in.

7 degrees here and the rain to stop in two hours by the pc.

Hope you all slept well last night. I went out like a light as soon as my head hit the pillow. Went to bed at 12.15am and woke for the loo at 7 15am

Morning Anng ,morning all,

Anng I think I remembered because Mel said she had had the Jackie Lawson card from her cousin and it was the English Country Garden and it the reminded me of the song In an English Country Garden and I was humming it for the rest of the day .

When we went to bed last night there was a sharp frost ,when I looked out this morning expecting to see frost it had all gone so the temperature must have gone up in the night .
It's cloudy but the sky has that bright yellowy look this morning but I see we might get a little rain according to the weather man .

I'm going to do a roast today instead of tomorrow ,we like a nice lazy Sunday so I have the veg to do some ironing and I must give the upstairs bathroom a clean .

Mel hope you enjoyed your day yesterday, Max's birthday tomorrow he will be nine .

Good morning all 3 degrees here dark and pouring with rain. supposed to go to the post box today (forgot to take it with me to town yesterday) but that is not going to happen if this rain keeps up. So it will be an indoors day for me today.

Ann , Mel mentioned her cousin in Ohio the other day .

It depends a bit whether they have reversed in or gone in forwards where the driver's side is. Often a different car has come and parked next to you by the time you get back as well and left no room.

I can't blame spellcheck AnnG, only my addled brain! Now where did I get Ohio from? lol. i've corrected it now.

I think people park with their passenger side close so they are far away from the white line on the drivers side so they can get in. Selfish of course.

I have done some more shredding and another bag is full. There's a pile on the step stool to do tomorrow. Then I reported a lot more scam emails. There seem to be a lot lately. We've also suddenly had a few scam phone calls as well.

Yes, I always make sure I allow enough space at least for the driver next to me to get in. At least if the driver can get in they can pull a little way out of the space to let a passenger in. The spaces are really small at the surgery and people struggle to manouvre big 4x4s and some give up. I'll look out for the blue tins at Aldi and see if it's the name I can't quite remember just now. I bet some of my jars of spices are really old as well.........something else I could sort out easily!

So it was spicey buns instead of a cake then Mel. Are they a bit like hot cross buns? I expect they will go down well anyway.

I did'nt go to Stuart's last night after all as he had someone coming who wants to rent part of his workshop. Not found out how he got on yet but will pop round tomorrow after the shop and see how it went. I forgot to add that to my posts today.

I have made 21 little spicey buns this afternoon so can take some tomorrow.

Another cold day but we did see a little sun ,not for long just enough to remind us what it looks like .

Anng its like that sometimes when you go shopping ,you either see lots you like or can't find anything and if you do find something its not in your size .

Ann we have Aldi baked beans they are nice ,it's the blue label tin ,think they are about forty two pence ,think they do cheaper one but I haven't tried them .
That's good you got on ok at the surgery today and the lady was helpful and as they say its good to talk .
Why do people have to park so close ,I always check when I park that I'm not to close to the car beside me so they can get in .

We had baked beans tonight and I thought I would add a little curry powder so we could have curried beans ,no curry powder so thats on the list and while I was looking I thought I'd better look through all the herbs and spices ...oh my lord 2021 dates on some of them ,I threw 14 little bottles out ,some only had a little bit in the bottom but one or two were nearly full .

Mel did you have a nice meal at Stuart's last night ,you've had some nice flowers I see .

Had lunch and went to go to the loo and spied a pink carrier on the doorstep. It was from my other neighbour up the top Hazel and Jono and a miniature red rose in a pot. Was'nt that nice.....
