My wife froze a couple of lemons recently and yesterday tried to grate one so that she could make a lemon syrup songe cake.

They were almost impossible to grate, and we ended buying :-| some!

The reason for the frown is that we have a large lemon tree in the garden (standard for most aussie homes) but at the moment what fruit there is on it isn't ripe :-(

what about my lemon in the freezer? I've not read the snopes but I can guess!! :-( :-( :-(

Ann I do slice me lemon and put them in ice cube trays to mix with me drinks it works everytime......Ideal for putting in a summer punch too.......

well you don't have to grate the pips - my lemon is in the freezer as we speak - I'll let you know the result tomorrow :-D
