	I had a robin that used to sit on my kitchen door handle and I used to talk to him through the door. He would fluff all up! :-D He was there 2 years, but not this year! :-(

	Sad about the whippet but what irresponsible owners if they knew that fireworks were around and they let the dog of the leash. Did they know? I think I wrote the other day that K had built a roosting box and a robin has commandeered it. I told hi, he should make another couple of boxes and see which birds are attracted.

	Jem, no dogs or cats here. When the kids were little we had goldfish and hamsters but we never took them for a walk. :-D :-0 :-D

	There was a sad story in our local paper this week. A couple were walking their little whippet who had heart problems along the beach front. She bolted when she heard the fireworks and they couldn't find her. She was washed up on the beach abut 5 miles away, the following day. :-( :-( :-(

	Same here Jem. Our retail park is a short walk for me - a shorter walk than a walk into town (a very smm town too). Loads of charity shops in the centre of town too.

	It's been seeds and fat balls until today Joy. They have lived in my hedge for quite some years. Recently I read that the sparrow population is down by 80%, so I want to do my bit to help them through the winter :-) It's also easier than having a pet. I am missing having a pet. I have had cats and dogs, and especially miss the dog, particularly since GS1 left home ... no one to mother! :-D

	We have had Wilko for a lot of years in the town centre. The town doesn't do very well now, as we have 2 Retail Parks just down the road from me, with free parking. The town is mostly cheapy shops (which I love) banks, shoe shops, charity shops, a Boots and an Asda. All the big shops are in the retail park now.
