Doesn’t he look cute in his Shirley Temple outfit - all he needs now is a lollipop.

Allan

The Bosun's mate, who had also made a surprise appearance in this tangled web being woven.

Oh Allan really?? Everyone knows all OH have bags like the tardis....they hold more than you expect and as for weight well they're used to carrying their entire families at times :-D

Dear old Rick had grown bored with the dusky maidens who it seems didn't travel well, no he only had eyes for...

Allan

Allan Report 25 Aug 2019 21:57

There were always the frisky, dusky maidens with their coconuts with which to distract Rick.

By now Allan was even more impressed with the sheer strength of his OH.

Any normal woman would have required a crane to carry around that mysterious, magical bag.

Gwyn in Kent Report 25 Aug 2019 18:49

Quite what O H wanted to hide Rick for we can only guess, but here he was, back to bother Allan once more, unless there was something else in the bag with which to distract him....

Caroline

Caroline Report 25 Aug 2019 18:12

It was Rick O'Shea of course he's not been seen for a while and this explains it all OH was keeping him safely in her copious bag......

Allan

There are more characters than names in a London Telephone Directory, or even written on cards left in the old style telephone boxes.

Which was lucky as neither Allan nor his OH would want to attract the killers that were chasing Rincewind.

Now, there were a lot of characters that keep popping up in this travel saga - could it be one of them?

Allan

Allan Report 23 Aug 2019 21:50

Certainly not the maidens.

After all, this was OH's bag not Rincewind's Luggage.

Caroline

Caroline Report 23 Aug 2019 19:32

Mainly because OH had done something to the dusky maidens he hadn't seen them for days. Thinking about it he realized the rather copious bag was looking fuller than usual.....determined to take a peek inside he waited until OH was snoring away and took a look inside......OH NO....what could this be.......

nameslessone Report 23 Aug 2019 16:22

After a week this was still ensuing as Allan had eaten all his coconuts and had taken to chewing the camal bag.
His O H was looking well, probably because she had kept the contents of her capacious bag for herself.
Allan was not happy..........

Allan

Allan Report 16 Aug 2019 22:02

Not wishing to appear rood, Allan had sent the dusky maidens to tend their coconuts so as to ensure that they remained as fresh as the day they came from the trees.

This did not go down well with his OH who suspected that there may have been an ulterior motive in having said maidens look after his coconut collection.

Another deep domestic discussion ensued!

... a lovely bunch of coconuts.
Allan had sent these on ahead as he had become quite partial to them. But will they go off before he gets home as he still has a lot of travels to go.

This was a much more refined kangaroo.

Just like rood screens, it was finely patterned, but goodness knows where it had acquired such a detailing of it's fur.

Not only that, but in it's pouch was the most amazing sight............

Allan

Allan Report 15 Aug 2019 21:35

Now there's a new beastie.....a kangarood!

Does it tell inappropriate stories and jokes? ;-) ;-)

My apologies in advance; I just couldn't resist it

nameslessone

nameslessone Report 15 Aug 2019 15:52

The reason that these men know no bounds was because they had run over all the kangerood ;-)

Allan

Allan Report 14 Aug 2019 22:05

It's amazing what you can make out of dead animals of any species.

For example, wombats are used as speed humps in Australia.

In Western Australia, where there are no wombats, road-kill kangaroos are used for the same purpose.

Man's ingenuity knows no bounds!

The voices knew that one couldn't make a silk purse out of pigs ear so what could be made out of a camels...………..

Allan

Allan Report 13 Aug 2019 22:02

the Naked Chef walked off in a hump.

It's amazing the things that you can do with a dead camel and a pair of scissors.

Bare Grylls wondered what part of the camel he would end up wearing and whether he would have the guts to wear it in public.

nameslessone Report 13 Aug 2019 14:48

The voices had been concerned over the possible consquences of eating a badly cooked camel. Especially as they didn’t know how long it had been dead.

However, it seems that both Allan and his OH survived and so the voices dropped their sick bags and...............
