Coconuts!

But not just coconuts but also....

Allan wandered through the fairground looking at the stalls.

Bearded Lady, Rubber Man, Lobster Man, Siamese Twins, they were all sitting outside the tent. A barker was calling to the crowd to come and see.

Allan pulled back the tent flap and peered into the gloom, he was very surprised to see......

Oh look the "offensive" comment at the top of the page that was RR is back....common sense prevails :-D

Except where was it and where was his OH and her copious bag when you needed her?......oh of course...Allan went in search of the Bearded Lady stall......

In walked Aunt Sally.

It was time for Allan to put his thinking head on.

But how to resolve this dilemma?? It's not like coconuts just grown on trees...the answer was almost in the palm of his hands when.....

He realised that he was several coconuts short of a Shy

and of course that tune was "We all stand together".

Carson by now beside himself, red of face and collar far too tight for his blood pressure...lucky enough just at that moment as it seemed Carson manners were about to fail.......

Some were of the musical variety, so soon there rose a tuneful ? melody.

What!

Allan plopped into the fountain, and came with a Lily on his head. Lily the froglet looked dumfounded and hopped off.

Allan looked after the departing car. Toad was waving and chuckling madly, along with Ratty and Mole. They exited in a cloud of exhaust.

OH deftly scooped Allan up, placed him on the side of the fountain, and gave him a smacker on the top of his head. Allan instantly became human again. And covered his embarrassment with a bunch of reeds.

LOL seriously RR because I mentioned coconuts!!....didn't even mention the nice young lady.

.....a toad whizzing by in his sports car....the car horn blasted out as Allan jumped out fo the way and straight into......

OH daintily picked Allan and popped him into her pocket.

The cucumber sandwiches were a delight, and Lady Mary had asked her for a stroll around the garden.

As OH and Mary walked down to the ornamental fountain, Allan could smell the water, and hopped straight out of OH's pocket.

Hopping towards the water, Allan was interrupted by......

And Allan was turned into a frog.

Allan had forgotten that Carson's first name was Samantha.

A magnificent spread...every sandwich known to man; dainty pastries to die for....and Allan couldn't believe his eyes.....coconuts.....ignoring the obvious issues here Allan realized just how hungry he really was and made a move on the sandwiches but was suddenly stopped from his forward motion....Carson had grabbed him by the scruff of his collar. With eyes looking to heaven and through gritted teeth; poor Carson couldn't get over the nouveau rich no matter how hard he tried; Carson said "Perhaps Lord Dunabunk would like to sit here by the fire?" as he dropped him into the leather chair....this was just fine...except....Allan started to warm up....and after all this travelling his clothes were leaving something to be desired......Carsons nose started to twitch......

Allan and OH ventured out of the cupboard with tummies rumbling.

Carson the butler walked up to them both. 'Ah Lord and Lady Dunabunk, how lovely to see you, perhaps you would like to come to the morning room and partake of tea'

Allan and OH looked at each other, as if by magic, what else, they had been transformed into the nobility. Even Mr Ben could not have done better.

They followed the butler into the morning room, and saw...……………...

Downtown, whether the Abbey or Petula Clark, Allan and his wife were undecided, although if the latter they couldn't hope to hang onto her coat tails for her tour of Australia as, alas, the tour was over.

Allan and OH had been in Brigadoon for a week, which was a week too long.

Feeling that it was time to move on, they gathered up some black puddings, strapped them to a caber, and launched themselves from the highest hill.

Up into the sky they went, floating on a thermal, they began to descend.

Down, down to..................

No, it was a herd of Black Puddings, the descendants of the escaped Black Pudding associated with the martial art of 'Ecky Thump', as chronicled in the opening pages of this saga.

Fear not it wasn't the day ending...that would be too obvious and simple for this extended story....but the skies were darkening due to a swarm of birds blocking out the sun....what could be making so many birds fly away at once....were the Haggis swarming across the Heather covered hills?

“Outlandish” cried Allan as he swooped to stop his OH finding out if Jamie’s spoke the truth.
“Outlandish” thought his OH “Allan has been having all the fun on this trip”

It wasn,t only her mood darkening, but also the light.......
