Marriage certs

Hi, what is the cheapest way to get a Marriage cert for London please and would it show what church or registry office they were married in please, i know it was Shoreditch, thanks

https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/Login.asp

You will need to create a (free) account.
As well as the names you will def. need the date quarter and the GRO page and volume number.
You can usually get that from http://www.freebmd.org.uk

How much information is on the cert depends on time and tide at the time of the marriage some certs are full of info others not. You usually get place of marriage inc R.O., father's name and occupation, quite often details of the couple getting married inc job, address. The witnesses are often rellies so place close attention to them as they can reveal much.

If the marriage is COfE Ancestry has lots of very full C19 & early C20 marriage records.
