We have another twig on the family tree after my niece Lyla was born on Friday at 12.40pm. Lyla was 5lb 15oz and two weeks early. Mum and baby are doing well though and are hoping to get out tomorrow.

Thank you Elizabeth, Ann, Jem and Pat. I’ve met Lyla at home now and can’t believe how tiny she is.

I’m doing alright thank you Pat. I’m still off work but the wound is healing nicely just slowly. I’m back to see the doctor on Thursday and desperate to get back to work now. However as my job is physically demanding and involves lifting up to 25kg in a go I won’t get back till the doctor is certain it’s healed sufficiently that it’s unlikely to get damaged again.
