Apparently, royal bodyguards refer to the queen as Sharon, quite rightly in my opinion.

Now, are you absolutely sure I am who you thought I was?

AnninGlos Report 9 Oct 2019 12:33

weeeell, certainly there is room for doubt.

RolloTheRed Report 9 Oct 2019 13:27

the whole point of a codename for a person, project, battleplan or whatever is to shield it / him / her from unauthorised viewing, overhearing etc . As such information tends to leak over time to enemies , the press, the competition such codenames can never be permanent.

That the DM is near the bottom of the feeding chain ( think: "pond life" ) and an old codename has been disclosed without fuss suggests that the protection officers have moved on.

Sharron Report 9 Oct 2019 13:30

So now we have a clue as to who Rollo is. His initials are DM!

LaGooner Report 9 Oct 2019 13:43

Sharron Report 9 Oct 2019 16:34

Should that be "Your Majesty"?

If it should, I can tell you one person who will not be getting a knighthood.

Dermot Report 9 Oct 2019 17:04

Rollo is Rollo just as much as Brexit is Brexit. :-D

Rambling Report 9 Oct 2019 17:11

I am absolutely sure yes.

SylviaInCanada Report 9 Oct 2019 17:19

The report did say that the code names were changed frequently ............. to make sure that they were a secret known only to the few.

Bet your bottom dollar, all of them have now been changed ............ and were within a few minutes of security becoming aware.

Actually, they were probably changed last week

They're not dimwits!! ;-)

Allan Report 9 Oct 2019 22:03

I think that at one time the code name for Prince Charles was 'Toby Jug' ;-)

SylviaInCanada Report 10 Oct 2019 00:22

I wonder why!
