We had a very interesting conversation. He does know what he is talking about and the history of rats.

There is a theory, which will particularly appeal to Dermot, I am sure, that there were actually not as many rats in Britain during the Middle Ages as has always been accepted. Even after the influx of the brown rat, dovecots, which were winter meat facilities had their nest boxes far too low to protect them from brown rats, which can and do climb well as opposed to the native black rat which is not very inclined to.

Rat catcher has been.

He doesn't think there are any more rats but will be back in a fortnight to check and be really sure. Then the clean team need to come and get the rest of te insulation out from under the bath. Then the plumber can come and then I can have a bath.

Clothes pegs out!

I suppose he could always pickle it and have Rat a Vin...

a la Baldrick?

Oh, he knows how to do that but Daddy might not want his rat immediately and you wouldn't want it going stale.

You could ask the rat catcher to show the cat how to kill a rat instantly! :-D

You can have a cup of tea and a natter with him as there's nothing for him to catch :-)

This board would be so boring without the ups and downs of life with Sharon.

Ignore the humourless and keep going Sharon. :-)

If it's been RR'd and restored already why do they think it's suddenly in need of RRing again when nothing has changed!! Someone needs a head shaking.

I think yesterdays posing might have been removed.

Yesterday we had a plumber turn up, he took the bath out and there was, indeed, a dead rat under it. He took it away but was not allowed to continue working until I have had a rat catcher round and, no doubt, a housing officer to make sure I am not infested, which I am not!

So we now have no stink of rat but still a whiff of sewage and no bath either until the rat catcher has been.

The cat has had a severe talking to as well!
