The weather is not so good today but that is not new.

Nan and Grandad lived right down the bottom of the village and on this date in 1919, after having done a hard days work in the fields with 'they demmed/ poor old yeos (ewes), that night, in horrible weather, at the age of forty-two, he had to walk right up to the top of the village (a couple of miles and more).

Then he had to walk all the way back AND he had to go to work the next day.
