:-P :-P :-P :-P

I would like to thank my arms for always being by my side, my legs for always supporting me, and my fingers, because I can always count on them.

It doesn't matter what it is about. It is in the Guardian so it will be completely accurate and unbiased and you will be a better person for reading it so just get on with it woman!

That bottle of Baileys I bought for Christmas is calling my name! :-D

I may just let it out of the cupboard to see daylight, the poor little thing has been in the dark for 4 months. It is probably feeling neglected, I forgot I bought it. :-D :-D

I'm having Schnapps with tonic water - its........interesting! :-)
I thought it would be very alcoholic - it's only 18%!

maggie ....

....... re schnapps

Long ago we were presented with a bottle by a visitor to the house.

We found it too sharp for us, but OH had the bright idea to mix it with an over-sweet liqueur that someone had previously given us.

For once, it was a good idea :-D

Someone liked it so much that she had 4 of the schnapps and banana liqueur the first time ......... the drink then became known as "Spinning Sheila" :-D :-D :-D

For some reason after that, we returned from 3 separate trips to Europe with bottles of home-made schnapps presented to us by friends and contacts.

They must know you well, maggie!

Our doctor phoned this morning to check how we were doing, first time he's done that.

Towards the end of the "interview" with me, he asked did I smoke. "Good" when I told him I stopped in 1990. Then "what about alcohol?". "No, I had to stop drinking when I had a stomach problem and it made it worse" :-( . "Good" was also his response to that.

I don't know whether he asked OH about his smoking and drinking ............... he doesn't smoke, but he is certainly supporting the local Liquor Store!

I'm still trying variants of alcohol from the back of the cupboard.
I may attempt some schnapps tonight :-S

My daughter and her lovely friend must be very concerned for me and my wellbeing.
They've given up bringing me bottles of wine, and have settled for boxes! :-D :-D :-D

Some nice Shiraz goes down well, I never buy red wine but visitors always seem to bring some...this bottle was particularly good <3

Noble, selfless Maggie. Sacrificing yourself for the benefit of others in the cause of medical science.

You should get clap on Thursday

Drink to me only with thine eyes
And I will pledge with mine.
Or leave a kiss within the cup
And I'll not ask for wine.

The thirst that from the soul doth rise
Doth ask a drink divine;
But might I of Jove's nectar sip,
I would not change for Dettol.

I have floated this on FB and thought you might agree on here.

Donald Trump is a very busy man and, no doubt, he needs others to read a lot of the reports he is sent and to just explain them to him. Possibly, all of them.

I think there has just been a bit of a mistake in substances.

Of course, disinfectant kills the Corona virus, but so does hand sanitizer which is alcohol based.

That was what he meant, wasn't it? Don't pour disinfectant into the human body but pour in plenty of alcohol.

It's worth a try isn't it?
