He is/was a governor of my old school. I believe his daughter went there. Mind you, I probably left there before he was born. Other alumni, Brucie Forsythe and Larry Lamb, East Enders actor.

It's so unfair that decent people get so many things thrown at them yet thugs and evil people sail through life with no ailments. Karma goes in the wrong direction sometimes.

George has always been so pleasant and dignified. It's sad that the cancer has spread. I am sure he will have lots of love and support but he shouldn't have to cope with such a horrible illness.

I saw him and thought he looked thinner in the face,but he seemed his pleasant self otherwise.

Yes how very sad, A very pleasant man who doesnt deserve this. Plenty of nasty people in this world who should suffer but they don't. Yes karma does go the wrong way sometimes, so unfair!

I hope he will be around for awhile yet so his family can apprreciate the precious time he has left.
