Dear All

Hello

On this day, 104 years ago this day British and allied troops had been engaged in the battle of the Somme against Germany.

By the end of the first day of battle, nearly 20,000 people had been
killed.

Between 1 July and 18 November 1916, more than 3 million men fought in this battle.

One million men were wounded or killed, making it one of the bloodiest battles in human history.

TO REMEMBER ALWAYS.

World War One was called the "War to End all Wars" but STILL people have
cannot live in peace.

With the deepest of respect.

On 1 July 1961, at Park House, Sandringhan, Norfolk, a little girl was born to Frances and John Spencer, Viscount Althorp, later Earl of Spencer.

Their baby was named Diana Frances.

She grew up to become Diana, Princess of Wales.

She would have been 59 years of age.

Always remembered with much love.

Take gentle care all

A significant date in many ways, Elizabeth.

Such dreadful loss of life in the wars, and since. Now we have seen a different war with the Covid outbreak but this time we have opportunities to reduce the numbers except many people don't listen and are selfish.

I wonder if Harry would have moved away had Diana still been around. She would have loved her grandchildren for sure.
