Kay Report 9 Oct 2021 23:21

I only saw half of Rose and Giovannis dance because I couldn't see the rest due to too many tears. I thought it was fantastic.

Like the other I thought AJ and Kai were brilliant and also John and Johannes.

It's incredible it's only week 3.

Shirley was in a very good mood tonight-for a change!!

I didn’t think Kate was as bad this week. I loved Rose and Giovanni and AJ and Kai And John and Johannes

Edit oh I meant to say what a good show it was tonight, difficult to believe it is only week 3

Well all I can say is Wow!!. Best week of Strictly for a long time. Everyone upped their game . There are a couple I am not so keen on but the majority were excellent.
Stand outs for me were Rose and Giovanni also AJ and Kai but the best for me John and Johannes definitely worthy of a 10 score.

Think Katie may be in the dance off again.

Hope you all enjoyed the show.

:-D :-D

Think Greg gave a hint that he will be 007 next week :-D

Yes, the right couple in the dance off, I didn't really much like either of their dances, they both tried hard but quite hard to judge as two very different dances. I thought Katy was too stiff and tense and Nina somehow just didn't get her body right. The dance just didn't seem to suit her. I don't think Katy will last much longer unless she makes a big improvement. I too had trouble recognising her with dark hair.

MotownGal Report 4 Oct 2021 07:52

Eastenders versus Corrie in the dance off.

Katie looks so different with her hair dark, I had to think hard to recognise her at first.

Will someone do James Bond? If so, who?

Seeing them both dance again, I think the right two were in the dance off, it was very close :-0. I think based on that dance I would have picked Nina to stay. :-0 But hey, what do I know :-D

Katie will now know that it's not a popularity show but a dance show :-0. It will be interesting to see if she can up her game cos she will need to:-0

Next week is Movie Night, I do so like Movie Night :-D :-D

Watching the elimination show. Nina in the dance off so far. Not really her dance to be honest.

They will probably pick a strong dancer to be against her.

So pleased Rose went through, her dance was amazing.

Katie in the dance off with Nina.

Pleased Greg got through, got a bit of a soft spot for him!

If it is the article I think it is Ann, it was in the Times Magazine a couple of weeks ago. She said she began to feel uncomfortable.

Janette is very excitable, she was the same on the Strictly show. Zoe was also a hundred miles an hour. I think I liked it best with Claudia a few years back.

JustGinnie Report 3 Oct 2021 10:07

Well I enjoyed last nights marathon and not sure who will be the 1st to go. Maybe Judy but really on past shows could be anyone. Remember how long Ann Widdecombe stayed in and she could not dance at all !! No one as bad as A W this time. :-D

I wish the results show was on Saturday as well though.

Anyone watch the BBC2 show? I am not keen on Janette doing it she is very loud but perhaps she will calm down as the weeks go on.

There is an excellent piece in the Mail on line by Sophie Ellis Bextor about her experiences of dancing with Brendan Cole when she was in Strictly. It is worth reading regarding the relationship angle - with spouse and partner - and the pressures they face.

MotownGal Report 3 Oct 2021 08:28

Yes, it was a marathon again. But I did manage to eat and excuse myself through it!

I do hope the public will judge the dancers on their ability, and not just on their popularity through their appearances in soaps etc.

I thought Robert upped his game considerably, and was pleased he was serious this week.

Dont know who will be in the dance off, it will be a close call.

Once again, Anton did remind me of Len with his comments and encouragement.

I enjoyed it last night too. It is difficult to second guess who the public 'don't like' because unfortunately we have seen good people have to leave before now. I loved Sara's foxtrot, so beautiful and yes, I thought those lifts of Rose's dance were wonderful for week 2 and I love her total enthusiasm. I also enjoyed Tilly and John and Robert. The dance off tonight will be interesting. I laughed at Judy so, yes she was entertaining but I think a lot of people won't have liked it, she might well be in the dance off. We shall see.

LondonBelle Report 3 Oct 2021 06:29

A another marathon but enjoyable :-D

The standard is very high this year and it will be very sad to see some of them go over the weeks. :-(

The most improved and enjoyable for me this week were Sara's Foxtrot and Robert's Tango :-D

Judy puts her all into her dance and the twerking made me laugh, it was entertaining
:-D

The lifts in Rose's Salsa were breathtaking especially for it being only week two :-0

Those that did well last week I thought did well again this week ie AJ, Rhys & John :-D
It is consistency that wins :-D

I didn't think that Nina did well this week but I didn't really care for Neil's choreography....So for me she will be in the dance off :-(
Not sure who will join her as there are a number hovering around the bottom :-0. Guess we will find out who is the public's favourite this evening :-D

I enjoyed it too and also liked seeing them all the first week. I always thought the second week dancers had an advantage having seen the others. Like JustGinnie I liked Johannes and John's Tango. I like Johannes as he seems so kind and he really seems to make his partner get posture right. I thought all the professionals were very supportive of their partners. I thought Tilley had some lovely graceful arm shapes too and I loved Oti's african costume.

JustGinnie Report 26 Sep 2021 18:20

I enjoyed the show and although it was long I liked having all the dancers being on the 1st night . For the 1st week I thought they all did well . Haven't got a favourite yet but I did like the Tango from John and Johannes and the V. Waltz from Rhys and Nancy.

Shame about Tom and Amy hope they aren't too unwell.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 26 Sep 2021 17:53

So Tom and Amy have both tested positive for Covid, that could be nasty for Amy. Hope they both recover well.

I agree with Belle about the length of the show. I was beginning to think I had taken root.

I hope they are not all going to be that long. Maybe as they are knocked out it will become shorter. I believe it is going to start earlier next week.

I am starting to doubt my own judgement with some. One of the dancers I thought was stomping around, got very good marks.

One the other hand...................what do I know?

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 26 Sep 2021 06:39

Well, that was a bit of a marathon.....I didn't watch it live but at least I was able to pause it every so often :-0 ;-)

I too thought the standard was high for a first show:-0

For some, I think having watched the others, will realise they will have to raise the bar to stay in the competition :-0

I thought the men did better than the women:-0 My favourites from last night were Rhys' Viennese Waltz and Adam's Samba. :-D

Keeeep Dancing :-D

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 25 Sep 2021 22:41

Seemed to be a very high standard for a first night with most of them. Was it me or were the judges marking higher towards the end, or was it that the best dancers actually were in the last few? I enjoyed it anyway.
