Had to laugh at Anton on GMTV, he said he thought the group dance last week was awful. But as that was recorded a time ago, hopefully they have improved.

Still, a good watch, regardless.

Quite like Anton as a judge I would be happy if it was permanent thing. I sure Bruno is a lovely man but he does irritate me with all his arm waving antics.

I guessed it be pre-recorded with all the 'outside' shots. I think the pairings were pretty good. I was pleased that Neil has become one of the featured dancers.

Anton was perfectly charming, and I was reminded of Len with some of the things he said. Craig was doing his Maiden Aunt act, as if he had sucked on a lemon. He looks so different when he smiles.

Saturday's launch programme was pre-recorded a week ago, with the positive case discovered the next day. The first live show takes place on 25 September, leaving sufficient time for self-isolation in between.

I think last night's launch show was pre-recorded a week or so back...it wasn't live :-D

Didn't they used to have the match up show at least two weeks before the first proper show? I know things have changed since Covid but how are they supposed to be dancing by next Saturday? Have they just been rehearsing as a group with all different professionals. I do get the impression that there is somethings we are not told. But yes, I enjoyed it and there were some who looked as though they will be good. I liked the way Rose and partner (Giovanni?) seem to have clicked with him communicating well with her. have visions of her interpreter learning to dance with them :-D :-D

I think we could be in for a few surprises :-D

I thought the show was better tonight than the previous way of introducing the partners. There are about three obvious no hopers, but some of the others look good

Really enjoyed that!

What struck me most that everyone was laughing and joking, being cheeky. What a refreshing note to start the season.

Looks like there are some interesting new professionals.

Two of the professionals are not vaccinated and are refusing to be so. Celebrities not happy. And I can't say that I blame them.

You're right, I should think that all contestants who attended stage school of any sort would have learned how to dance as well as the odd other contestant.

I don't know how they could avoid this dilemma because I have heard even some boxers do dance classes as I know many other athletes do too - as part of their fitness and co-ordination routines.

It is suggested that more than half of the contestants have had dance training sometime in their life. Be it dance lessons, or stage school.

But who will replace Anton and get the two left feet MTG? Lol.
