All good in this sunny corner unless you are venturing on the motorways towards the ports
They are getting ready to separate lorries from cars over the coming weekends for Operation Brock

Flick Colby was the choreographer of Lega and Co Belle, possibly Pans People before that. I think she died about 10 years ago. Now I've got to google because I need to know LOL

Still cant quite make up its mind today weatherwise. Quite pleasant, but a few spots of rain.

A jackdaw has just flown up onto our chimney carrying a bone that it found on the lawn.

Operation Brock supercedes Operation Stack.... both involve the M20 as a lorry park.

Operation Brock involves moving the concrete blocks stored at the edge of the motorway here and making separate lanes for cross-Channel freight.

Happens most holidays or if the French are having some dispute, which disrupts Channel crossings.
It means that a long section of motorway is restricted to 50 mph.

Lorries can be parked /stacked for many miles to keep other traffic moving. I once counted over 400 as we passed them queuing.
I feel sorry for the drivers caught up in this.
