	Afternoon all Aw Von... Not much sleep lately? Really blowy here today and the rain held off until about 1.30 pm before we had a light shower. A day when I seem to have been busy all day, but not a lot to show for it. I wonder if Maddie will make a trifle with the remains of the sponge cake. I haven't made one in years......

	Morning Maddie and Fly. Did you throw your shoe at him, Maddie … in the good old fashioned way? Sunny with a small breeze here. We’re off to a home-game cricket at lunchtime so I hope the rain stays away. I am concerned for our birds. We have had very few of them hopping around our garden this week and I fear bird flu is decimating their numbers, poor little things.
