So I have Harold the sixty five plus Greek tortoise who was daughters pet and was 10 plus years old when she joined us in 1968

Named Harold by hubby as Harold Wilson was prime minister then and hubby said both slow
Obviously not a fan of Harold Wilson !


So daughter married in 1977 to an army guy so couldn’t take Harold with her .

Harold was identified as a female Greek spur a few years ago but always been Harold so name won’t change

Went out today and on the way checked Harold’s house where she has hibernated in hay since late October to see she was awake .

Opened the door and went off for an appointment to find her walking around the patio when I got back

So she has survived another hibernation ;-)

I do worry every year whether she will so its always a yesssss! When she wakes up and is healthy

Have told daughter you get her back in my will lol ;-)

Oh that's fab news Shirley. So Harold lives on for another year until the next hibernation :-D
