One thing no one mentions about being an adult is how much time you debate yourself over keeping a cardboard box because it's a really good box.

Just came back on to this and it made me laugh as I was just looking at4 cardboard boxes lurking in the conservatory all different sizes I keep thinking they should go in the recycling and then last week I was clearing a drawer and found one of the boxes uuseful. so now I am debating whether I should get rid or not. I have more drawers to clear out!! :-D :-D :-D

I wonder how long I should keep boxes and packaging for :-S

What if the product needs to go back? :-0

It's bound to go wrong the day after the recycling bin is collected LOL

Yes all those!!

when I had a new gadage door fitted, it is an automatic one and the pulleys and elecrical bit are fitted overhead in the garage. To fit it, I didn't realise until after they had finished and gone, they had needed to take down from whatever contraption was holding it in the garage roof, an extremely large cardboard box whixh held out large TV when we bought it, must be at least 8-10 years now. goodness knows how I am going to get rid of it not only is it large it is pretty solid carboard. so that is now in the garage. Good job I don't have a car.

I have soooo many cardboard boxes!! Especially the plain brown ones.
They're 'flattened'.
Why? You may ask.
Well, in my back garden, there is a wall, about 2ft 6inches high.
'Behind' this wall is some soil.
I say soil, but it's mostly grass and cinquefoil, with a few plants I've tried to grow there.
The cardboard is to put over the weeds. I'm using cardboard, as there are also sloworms on the bank, and I don't want to hurt them, but would prefer to encourage them.
I did a patch last year, and it sort of worked.

Now there's a possibility the Council will change my kitchen, so the boxes will be used for this.
