I hope you’re all ‘in the pink’ - and I am not talking about the colour of your ‘tan’. :-D

I watched some of that, Belle, as my Dad was there on board his ship, having fought in Europe previously.

He was already in the Navy, was in the Med when war broke out and they were ordered straight to Scapa Flow with only their whites and were not allowed to call in to their naval homes to pick up cold weather gear. Brrrrr.

Already too warm for me. The curtains are all closed at the back of the house and they are staying that way for the rest of the day :-|

House is feeling fairly cool, just now, after a cool breeze from an open window overnight.
It will be closed soon to keep out the heat building to expected high temperatures later.

I feel sorry for Veterans wanting to attend services of remembrance today, VJ Day.
Hopefully organisers will have provided some shade.
