I'm back!

Bright, sunny and extremely cold here. Minus 3 when i got up.

My sister is now out of hospital (for the second time) and back in her apartment on her own which is what she has always wanted. The last few weeks have been horrendous for us and her and if anyone ever feels like moaning about the NHS please don't. You wouldn't want what they have in America :-0

I assumed that having Medicare and top-up insurance you would be fine - NO. No one place will talk to another (because they are all separate businesses). Social workers only work for a particular hospical or medical facility so someone else takes over if you move and don't pass on notes etc. No one will tell us what happens if my sister needs more care unless we tell them what she can afford and we have no idea and no way of finding out as the bank won't answer the phone or online forms without an account number which we haven't got and my sister can't remember.

I am just hoping that for the time being she will be o.k. and her horrible neighbour will not phone out the emergency services again because I couldn't go through the last couple of weeks again.

Sorry for ranting but it has been so stressful.

I am going to enjoy the day without a million phone calls and just phone my sister a bit later on to see how she is.

I did notice on the weather report on TV that London was shown with minus 3, whereas west Wales was plus 9 :-0
Laptop is telling me that we are at 3 degrees.

I have made a list of mini jobs I need to do today.
I wonder how many I will complete?

I will be busy rather than glued to the TV!
